What is Enjin?

Enjin is building a network for the gaming community through their cryptocurrency token, ENJ, to connect gamers, developers, & content creators all around the world. This will be achieved through their open-source software development kits (SDKs), their mobile wallet, plugins, as well as access to their payment system.

The Team

One of the interesting parts about Enjin is their organization has been around since 2008! Back in 2017, the Enjin team decided to implement a new technology to their platform and use cryptocurrency as it has becoming applicable in many different industries!

Lets take a look at a few of their team members: Maxim Blagov, Vyacheslav Volkov, & Anthony Diiorio

Maxim Blagov

Mr. Blagov has been at Enjin for a decade now, working there since 2008 when he helped to co-found the organization. He has experience in creative design and project management, as well as software design. He specializes in interactive applications especially in the video game industry. While this is Mr. Blagov's first position as a CEO, he has definitely proven that he is a great man for the job. Enjin has had excellent growth over the last few months, and is continuing to expand! It was most likely a very risky and life changing experience for him and the team to change the direction of their platform to focus on the application of cryptocurrency and implementing it into the video game industry. So far, it has definitely paid off, and I see no reason why they they won't continue this success!

Vyacheslav Volkov

I wanted to point out Mr. Volkov as he is their Lead for developing their mobile wallet. Huge "kudos" to this man as Enjin has received praise from all over about how Enjin's mobile wallet is the most secure one on the market! That is definitely something to be proud of!! Prior to working with Enjin, he worked as a .NET developer for an organization called Infotech.

Anthony Diiorio

Last, but not least, Mr. Anthony Diiorio. He is one of the advisors for the Enjin team, and has a very successful history for projects he has been involved with. Mr. Diiorio helped to found Ethereum (#2 total market cap) with Vitalik Buterin. Having the ability to be a part of something so massive and successful, gives him the knowledge and wisdom to help other organizations, like Enjin. Mr. Diiorio can give them the quality advice they need to get through similar roadbumps that Ethereum may have been encountered on their road to success.

The Platform

The Enjin platform is comprised of various different applications whether it's their mobile wallet, their decentralized marketplace, the trading platform, as well as subscription services.

Before talking about how their platform works on the front-end for the user, here's a look at how the Enjin platform works "under the hood" on the backend.

This is an example of how a transaction works for a user for a typical "in-game purchase scenario". Enjin has been able to implement the Ethereum blockchain through their cryptocurrency token, and use the Ethereum network to help build their community.

Mobile Wallet

The Enjin mobile wallet is definitely one-of-a-kind. It allows for virtually any ERC-20 token to be added into the wallet. In addition to ERC-20 tokens, you can also store your Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Litecoin on the wallet as well. What really makes the wallet so secure though?

The mobile wallet has biometric security enabling you to only be able to access the wallet through a fingerprint! You are also able to secure your wallet by using a password if you choose, but in my personal opinion I think that the fingerprint is the best way to secure your wallets- it will take much longer to "crack" the password from your fingerprint than to figure out the password stored.

Marketplace

On the EnjinCoin marketplace, you are able to buy and sell various in-game items, currencies, or tokens by using the ENJ token. This can give monetary value to basically any game you play! Imagine you are playing Fortnite, and want to sell one of the rare items you have purchased, and decide you don't really want to use it anymore! Well, instead of just having it sit around doing nothing, with the technology behind Enjin, you could turn the item into money- whether it's ENJ tokens, custom created tokens, BTC, ETH, LTC, or even fiat.

The interesting part about Enjin is they allow developers to create their own "in-game items, currencies, and privilege tokens by using ENJ.

By creating these custom tokens, you can customize it exactly how you would like, by using these different options:

1. Name
2. Icon
3. Maximum Supply
4. Decimal Places
5. Exchange Rate
6. Access List
7. Data

Trading

One of the most annoying things for users is when they're switching to a new game they can't monetize or receive a benefit from all the hard work that they have put into the game they just have to forget about all that effort. Also, what if you purchase an in-game item, and you end up not liking it and want something else? But you don't want to fork out all that extra money for in-game items? Enjin has brought the solution for gamers!

Enjin has built an escrow service for trading in-game items P2P. These people can accept Enjin coins, items, or multiple items/tokens.

Subscriptions

Individuals can take part in the subscription services that Enjin offers for businesses, & customers alike. The subscriber uses Enjin coins to take part in the subscription, and the merchant will be able to receive these coins through the "Trusted Platform", to give the subscriber access to the content they paid for!

The Roadmap

Big congrats to the Enjin team for completing the mobile wallet as that has been a big accomplishment, which has brought some solid attention to the platform and team. Going forward, I am most excited about the subscription service that Enjin will bring to both subscribers and merchants. It will make the process much more trusted, and safe. One of the parts about Enjin that will bring the most attention to their project isn't even on their roadmap. This summer is arguably the largest video gaming event, known as E3. Last year, there were over 68,000 people attending this video game conference, and Enjin is going to be there to meet with video game developers, and industry professionals.

Just this past week, Enjin also had some massive news to announce! There will be a 3d, blockchain powered game powered by the Enjin Coin released this year. The game is going to be called War of Crypto. War of Crypto is "a PvP multiplayer game that features unique, evolvable, tradeable heroes, set in an incredibly detailed epic fantasy world facing a relentless, imminent doom." The Token

Enjin is built around their ERC-20 token, which has the ticker symbol ENJ. The total supply of ENJ tokens is 1,000,000,000 ENJ, with a circulating supply of 756,192,535 ENJ. The token is used in a bunch of different aspects on their platform whether it's through P2P trading, their marketplace, or subscription services. The ENJ token will prove to be a game changer in the video game industry!!
