NEO Meetup London

NEO, a major Chinese blockchain project, has travelled to many countries across the world in the past few months. They are deeply impressed by the enthusiasm of the European community and therefore they came to London for an in-depth interaction with local communities and developers.

On the afternoon of June 16, NEO held meetup in Comedy Central, London. Some outstanding NEO based projects, like NKN, Phantasma, nOS, Alchemint, etc. showed up.

NEO-powered ICOs` popularity grows and the projects built on NEO have attracted a wide scope of investors. For example, NEX, the NEO exchange is placed number 1 on many a review site.

We couldnt miss the London meetup. And that`s what we saw, here are all the teams participating in the meetup. Every team started their pitch with a joke as the venue where the event took place was Comedy Central, and the public ethusiastically cheered.

In the beggining, Zhao Chen, General Manager at NEO global development gave a speech about NEO and answered questions. The most interesting answer was that NEO was not connected officially to the Chinese government, contrary to what some people used to think.

Companies pitches: We shall start from Phantasma, Phantasma is a messaging platform where the users control their own content, instead of relying in third parties servers. The platform supports any kind of transactions between users, eg: email, chat, files, money transfers. Their ICO was successful and contributors secured 2.5x profit on their investment shortly.

Next project is NKN, New Kind of Network

NKN is the new kind of network connectivity protocol & ecosystem powered by blockchain for an open, decentralized, and shared Internet. NKN’s goal is to revamp the $1.4 trillion communication business. By blockchainizing the network layer, NKN is providing the missing third pillar of internet infrastructure just as Ethereum has done for compute and ipfs for storage. NKN showcased a messenger on blockchain.

Entusiastic and upspirited Dean van Dugteren — Founder & CEO of nOS talked about his much hyped project -nOS, the Virtual Operating System for a new, transparent internet.

nOS, one of the most strongly hyped and promising project, that ranks 6th on CryptoBitcoin Top25, had interested investors so much that founder,Dean van Dugteren had to come on the stage 2nd time to announce that all private investment would be offered exclusively to to NEO partners, existing applications, and projects building on the NEO Smart Economy. People were interested to participate in the private sale and asked Dean on stage and evidently approached him offstage as to how to squeeze in the coveted private sales. It is a good sign for all investors, and nOS is high on our TOP, thus we would definitely look to invest in this project.

Then came time of Alchemint, Alchemint is a cryptocurrency stabilization system that runs on NEO’s public chain. It uses distributed ledger technology to create high-performance, application-grade encrypted digital currency, and completes the mortgage of digital assets, management of collaterals value and issuance of stablecoin through intelligent contracts. Alchemint wants to create a robust, open and transparent stablecoin issuance system.

Pickio chain made appearance. PikcioChain enables the collection, certification and exchange of personal data. It protects the individual’s data while making data acquisition and management easy for businesses. PikcioChain is providing the world’s first monetized personal data marketplace, and is revolutionary in its concept and idea.

Concluding the meetup was Pengtao Lin, Director of R&D, NEO who gave a short speech.
