Giant Baidu launches CryptoKitties Knockout

Baidu, the monster search machine of China, launched a new CryptoKitties service as part of its broader work with the block chain.

The new initiative from Baidu, which is considered a Chinese company Google, is akin to CryptoKitties, based on the digital digital pet initiative, which appeared late last year, and eventually led to a stream of transactions in this public network amid swelling interests. It also caused a number of copycat projects that were hoping to hide in the hobby of CryptoKitties.

The website details that the service was developed by the Badeu group in a block chain, which is also a member of the Hyperledger consortium running the Linux Foundation.

According to Chinese media iFeng.com and Leiphone, Baidu said that the project is available for public use, but is still being tested and developing.

The search giant drew this work as its last foray into the blockchain application - as previously reported, the company also disclosed its own blockchain-as-a-service platform.
