John McAfee: The blockchain will make the internet look like a sleeping dog
John McAfee is certainly one of the more colorful characters within the crypto world. It's hard to tell at times whether he's just trolling us - like when he famously predicted that Bitcoin would go to $1 million by 2020. But he's such a fixture on the crypto speaking tour that you have to listen to what he has to say. And he's absolutely 100% behind the blockchain and crypto revolution.
In fact, at an April 2018 blockchain industry event in Miami, he suggested that, "The blockchain and the advances in cryptocurrencies will make the Internet look like a sleeping dog by comparison..." (in the YouTube video, skip to the 3:00 mark) And it gets better than that -- in his presentation, he does a really great job of explaining why crypto represents such a huge threat to both the financial sector and world governments, and why all of us need to be ready to defend the crypto revolution. McAfee himself says that he's prepared to go to jail to defend the future crypto world.
