Head of Kenya Blockchain Task Force and AI joins House Africa's Advisory Board

Dr. Bitange E. Ndemo, the Head of the Kenya Blockchain and AI Taskforce has joined the advisory board of the African blockchain startup House Africa. House Africa CEO Nakia White was excited about the development and had this to say

Dr Bitange Ndemo is a Kenyan replublican and has served as a Permanent Secretary for Ministry of Information and Communications from 2005 till 2013. He is an ICT Champion, Academician, and a Newspaper Columnists with the Kenyan Newspapers Daily Nation and its sister publication, Business Daily serves currently as an Associate Professor of Entrepreneurship at the University of Nairobi's Business School where he teaches and researches on entrepreneurship and research methods with most of his research work being focused on ICT and small and medium enterprises and their influence on economic development in Kenya

Dr. Ndemo is regarded as one of the key people who oversaw the transformation in the Kenyan ICT Sector while the Permanent Secretary through various ICT policies and projects such as launching of undersea submarine cables, the mushrooming of business process outsourcing industry, the dramatic reduction in mobile termination rates (MTRs), initiating of the Kenya Open Data and the growth of tech hubs such as iHub and mLab in Kenya through effective regulation.

Dr. Ndemo holds a PhD in Industrial Economics from the University of Sheffield in the UK , an MBA from the University of St. Thomas (Minnesota) in the USA and bachelor's degree in Finance from the University of Minnesota. He is the immediate past Honorary Chair of the Alliance for Affordable Internet (A4AI) and an Advisor to the Better than Cash Alliance, a global initiative to digitize payments.

Africa is still grasping its roots on the blockchain technology and Bitange Ndemo is one of the drivers of the distruptive technology in Africa. He was part of the speakers at the African Blockchain conference 2018 that was held in Uganda in the city of Kampala. He is quoted in an interview at the World Blockchain Summit and had to say this concerning Africa and blockchain

Africa must be able to think beyond fear and embrace new technology. We missed two major tech waves with the internet and social media; we should not miss the third wave with blockchain

Dr. Ndemo said that with blockchain there is so much to be gained with productivity improvement in Africa, especially in areas of: Agriculture, education and manufacturing.

The addition of Dr Ndemo to House Africa's advisory board will go along in making the project a huge success. With his vast experience in the ICT and passion for Blockchain this will see the project becoming a huge force in Africa.
