Ethiopian government signs deal with Cardano
A Memorandum of Understanding with Cardano (ADA) has recently been signed by the Ethiopian government. Ethiopian developers will have the freedom to apply Blockchain technology to the agritech industrythe country by targeting mainly the supply chain monitoring of its largest export, coffee, according to a May 3 report from The Next Web.

The East African nation has joined forces with IOHK, a Blockchain research and development company, to launch Blockchains applications for shipments of coffee and other agricultural products.
IOHK is committed to working with the Ethiopian Ministry of Science and Technology to promote the development of the project with entrepreneurs and startups in the country. A press release highlighted these claims.
The research aims to use the Cardano Blockchain platform as a workbench for developers in the country. Getahun Mekuria, the Minister of Science and Technology of Ethiopia supported this initiative.
