ICO is a crowdfunding process by which some blockchain – based projects and startups raise funds to execute their projects.

This process also presents a business opportunity to investors of these projects who are issued with cryptocurrency tokens which is assumed to be the equivalent of the amount invested. Investors are also issued with extra tokens (varying percentage) as bonus for participating in the projects. These tokens when listed on exchange at the end of a successful campaign can be traded for other cryptocurrency or exchanged to fiat currency or cash. Investors also anticipate returns on their investment when the token is finally listed.

But selecting genuine and reliable ICO to participate in is always tasking and a big challenge to most investors. This is because of the increasing cases of scam ICOs which ended up disappearing into the thing air with investors’ funds.

In order to avoid being scammed as an investor, many believe that due diligence is required as regards the project of interest before venturing or participating in the project. One of the areas this due diligence is required is in the team behind the project.

Verification of the team members of ICO projects is very important as it will go a long way toward establishing the genuineness and capacity of the team to make the project a successful one.
In this article, I will independently verify some KONIOS PROJECT team members. KONIOS is a blockchain-based project that offer secure and easily accessible cryptocurrency exchange platform that will enable users to carryout face-to-face transaction and at the same time reward users for positive contribution.
I am particularly interested in this project which made me to dig into the team members’ profiles to ascertain their integrity, relevant experience and other achievements / projects successfully completed by them.

Going by the information available on Mr. Patrick Krasnic’s Linkedin profile and other research carried out, he has truly worked for over 7 years as stated in Konio’s official website. Before founding KONIOS, he was a co-founder of Festamo Switzerland GmbH – an active Limited Liability company formed in Jan 2013. He was also an initiator of cryptoonly.org, a cryptocurrency project registered in 2018 which is still at development stage. He has also worked in different capacities at different establishments.

Going by his information and experience available to me during my research, Mr. Waldemar Nickel has a great wealth of knowledge in system administration and hardware which I think qualifies him to work as a platform Network Specialist with KONIOS.

Having worked with different companies at varying capacity ranging from web development, data management, frontend engineering, etc with skills on Java Script, React.js, I could say that the information provided on the website is correct.

Conclusion: If I should base my judgement on the information on Linkedin, I woild say that KONIOS team members have the wealth of experience to take the project to a great height.
