Algorand e il BTcoin diventa facile
Silvio Micali, docente italiano di informatica al prestigioso Mit, ha lanciato Algorand, piattaforma per pagamenti digitali che risolverebbe il problema cosidetto "blockchain trilemma", ovvero il compromesso tra scalabilità, decentralizzazione e sicurezza, che ne bloccava la diffusione a milioni di utenti.
Attualmente algorand non è ancora operativa, ma presto potrebbe esserlo se andrà in porto la collaborazione con una startup della Silicon Valley, ToraCorp. «La tecnologia proof of work con cui bitcoin genera la blockchain, ha almeno tre enormi problemi – dice Micali —: spreca un sacco di energia; ha dato vita a un nuovo potere centralizzato e può dar luogo ad ambiguità, una caratteristica letale in finanza». La sua Algorand invece promette di costare poco o niente, essere controllata veramente solo dagli utenti e garantire che le informazioni o i valori scambiati non spariscano.
