A new vision provided by Verasity
I keep writing about exciting projects and I like to share it with you guys. I think that I have to share the information from which you can also benefit. You might ask yourself why I am writing this intro? Well, I will explain to you later :) It really has a lot to do with the topic of the article.
I am sick of adds on Youtube. I guess you all are. But that’s not really the point. The thing is that we spend a lot of our time on these kind of platforms, and as you all know, time is money! We can do a lot of things instead. We can read a book, work on a project, fly to the moon, or write an article for example :) But not all of us can do this. I also find myself often spending my finite time on watching some stupid videos. But let’s think how can we benefit from this.
Let’s begin from the publisher’s point of view. He creates content and brings millions of user to a certain platform. What does he get in return? Only a fraction of the total income. Most of the revenue goes to the third parties but at the same time, in order to get the revenue he deserves, he is forced to show ads to the viewer. It is discomforting.
Let’s continue with the viewer’s point of view. He opens the app and searches for his favorite channels. Before watching the desired video, often a must watch add appears. We are giving our attention and filling the pocket of some companies by doing this and get nothing in return.
What if all these can change? What if there will be no middle-men who will annoy both the creator and the viewer?
Imagine a platform where there is no middle-men, where the creator is paid fair and where the viewer gets paid for watching the desired video. You wouldn’t get the feeling of guilt because you are wasting your time :) You would be doing 2 things at a time: Watching your favorite pet show and getting paid at the same time.
Imagine how great this platform will be. But you don’t have to imagine. It is being developed already. It is called VERASITY:

When my friend recommended this project I was interested to make some research. After reading a lot about it I was sure that I definitely have to support it. If it really delivers what it promises it can disrupt entire businesses.
They are really helping the viewers. Their aim is to help them watch what they really intend to. They will do this by establishing direct relationships between the viewers and the creators, thus disabling third parties from interfering and bias content suggestions. Their platform will reward the user by paying him for watching an add. More than that, the viewer will be able to choose if he wants to watch it or not. So, if you want some extra money, you can freely choose to watch a add before your desired video. At the same time, by owning VeraSparks and supporting a certain channel, a user will receive a fraction from the revenue from it. He will be like a share holder in company.
The creator will benefit more than before. He will earn more than publishing on traditional platforms. Also the payments in the system will happen simultaneously. This is because Verasity will implement our beloved Blockchain technology. Also, through VeraSparks which was mentioned before, the creator will be able to sell a fraction of their future revenue in order to get money and further develop their channel. It is like selling 10% from your StartUp in order to get money and make it bigger. So basically they took a norm from business and implemented it in this project. I find it very useful.
Verasity will also be very cost effective thanks to their technology. They will take a small fee but they say it will go to the development of their product and ecosystem. It means that in the end the viewers and creators will benefit from it.
