An Outlook From A Crypto Physician

Message to Daniel Larimer

Intro: I am a young physician who has followed you passively for quiet sometime. My passion for blockchain is enormous and I believe that blockchain is the solution for better world. I believe in you 100% and I know with much help from the community and block.ONE EOSIO will become one of the best blockchains. Firstly, I want to congratulate you on your project steem it and bitshares. Those projects gave me faith that you will deliver EOSIO.

My opinion: While I am commending you for job well done, I want to add my little cent on the EOS minor issues. I believe that the minor issues that EOSIO has had thus far was the mere fact that an official wallet was not released by block.one after EOSIO was released. "Dan you basically gave us a video game console without the controllers." For my understanding, if you had released an official wallet then all people could've interacted with the blockchain with trust, and ease. Block. One developed EOS.IO which requires token holders to interact with it before it came to life but mean while token holders are clueless on how. We trust block.one more than anyone else so a wallet from block.one was a must. If block.one had given us a wallet then most people would have voted easily and I really believe that if voting had gotten to 40–50% then the whole Block producer issues wouldn't have been as issue IMO.

I believe that you wanted the community to launch the chain and coach their communities. While you had great vision, the ways of humans and how they act cannot be under estimated. Based on profession as a physician, I can comfortable say that you cannot expect all people to act as you would normally expect them to act - even not in an ideal situations. This is why I have a job as a physician. To be the leader on my field and guide patients to better health. Therefore Dan you were chosen by evolution to lead us technologically. Even a decentralized world needs a centralized few to initiate the decentralization. The vulnerable people who cannot takecare of themselves cannot be left unprotected to be abused by the strong. As much as humanity cry for freedom, humanity also cry for security, direction, and hope! Take the torch Dan and guide EOSIO. Bring us to decentralization because if EOSIO is 1/10th the way you pictured it to be, it will be 100 times better than the world we live today.

To Do: A wallet which allow users to interact with the block chain that was a gift from block.one would solve most issues. Lets get the wallet out with all the multiSig features as you have beautifully described in your proposed draft.
The Vision: People don't know the power of what you have built Dan! Example: Steem it and bitshares are great projects but due to lack of awareness/advertisement people invest in irrelevant projects over these projects. It bothers me when i see projects without MVP have market cap bigger than steem it and bitshares. I write to you today becase I want EOSIO to reach it potential. We the community will campaign but for now we request that block.one make some videos to educate people on the technicalities of EOSIO.

Governance and Arbitration issues: All these governance and arbitration can be done as DAPP and people can choose which application they want for protection. Token holders that want a decentralized application that want to freeze tokens then they will have an option. I think that message has to be clear that EOSIO base layer is like the video game Console. On the console the "the intent of the code is Law" and now the video games that are built by developers will have the contracts and different arbitrations. Even DACs can have their own constitutions. Ex EOSDAC is writing its own constituation etc. Please educate Tomas Cox to explain things better because he makes it seem like everthing and all arbitration has to be applicable to the EOSIO base layer! People just don't understand you so they are mixing things up IMO or Maybe i don't understand you?? lol. people wanna solve all their problems on the EOSIO network level and they dont know that all the contracts and governance can be done on the application level so for now all that is needed is an easy to use wallet with multi signature to protect the community so that we can vote! - - When voting becomes easy and we get to 90% votes a lot will change IMO. EOSIO base layer doesn't need all the humanistic subjectivities and complexities. That will be a disaster for failure because humans are very hard to deal with so I completely agree with you that we leave that up to the teams that are building at the application level.

To simplify things. Dan you have given us a video game console with a small manuel, no controllers, no video game applications and you want us to trust a thirst party to come up with a controller in order to interact with the console. Until a well trusted third party come up with a great controller, all we can do is complain about the awesome console that you have built.

To conclude: As a physician who deals with different kinds of individuals, I have learned that there is never a one way solution for people. Therefore, I normally say that " physicians can never be replaced by a machine to do our job"; simply because humans are not machines and our ways cannot be mastered by a machine. We are complex creatures. What works for one person maybe a disadvantage for another. You can never get it 100% right. That is what makes us human - but at least the Code will always be objective therefore the "THE INTENT OF THE CODE IS LAW" at the base layer will guide us from the subjectiveness, fallacies, and complexities while the application layer takes care of some of the arbitration aspects. GO EOS!
