Blockchain summits - Zurich #1steemCreated with Sketch.

There were 2 Blockchain summits near Zurich last week and I attended one day at both events.

let's start with thursday 8.3.2018
This day was more ICO pitches from the following participants []

There were a couple more (FireLotto, market.space) I think the Lotto is self explanatory but the market.space is indeed not a bad Idea but I have no interest in them. What they try to get funded is a decentralized self-regulatory system for data storage, transmission and direct content distribution.
If you understood that and want to develop some DApps or store your data in an almost unhackable evironment your at the right place.

Let me get to the ones I think I understood and want to be a part of. Keep in mind I will not invest in every of these.

https://vrallart.com
They offer applications for virtual reality and a mobile application so far. This means they deliver tech (CEO, Vitomir Jevremovic) is a Dev.

In my own words what I think they want to do.

They want to OWN the art market with a blockchain solution that makes actual use of the blockchain ledger and is not only a marketing word to attract uneducated investors. They have 3 main selling points:
VR - They have a VR applications that let's you create a gallery in VR with paintings from artists that uploaded their stuff to the blockchain. This VR-App comes in handy when you'r in a gallery or museum and you have seen it all. With the VR headset you can experience more galleries than you could handle in a day (theoretically) because once enough art is stored on the blockchain an almost infinit amount of gallieries can be created. This brings us to the second point

Shop - every painting in VR can be sold/bought unless the current owner doesn't want to sell. And if it's purchased, the amount paid for the art piece is stored in the BC as well as the address. This function tries to prevent that a painting that was sold for 20k is not sold for 2 millions the next day because everybody can look up the amount that was paid for the painting last time. makes sense? + with the address everybody knows who's the current owner.

mobile App - This one I like the most because it's just fun. The basic idea for this app is not something new but with the combination of the BC and the VR-app it makes much much more sense. you put a QR-code at the wall and with the app you now a look at a painting. not just a random painting of course but the one you saw in VR and want to buy. You can now check where to put it without having it purchased.

Allright, didn't think this was going to be that long.

I think this project might be disrupting the industry at it's bottom. Why not all the way to the top? well imagine a 10-million painting being bought with cypto currency. The buyer would have to purchase A LOT of utility tokens to purchase something he could be buying with FIAT money because when these big amounts of money are changing owner everybody is really interested to make the sale because commission and fees. while a small artist wouldn't even get the shelf space to show his work. Keep in mind art has no function but to be pretty (or whatever you might want to describe it) but people still pay a lot a money for it. basically like bitcoin - not really usefull but very expensive.
