To stay in touch with family and people close to me I would never use Facebook or Twitter, etc.
I have a mouth, we all have a phone and the only thing we use is WhatsApp.
At this moment it is useless to use something else, especially if I am the only one (Viber for example).
My children are not very interested in social media either.
I only have Facebook and later started with Twitter to contact organizations. It's cheaper this way plus they help you faster with a complaint!
By now many use WhatsApp too so I prefer that.
I do not share pictures, thoughts, ideas, etc on Facebook or Twitter, if it comes to it I find both boring and Facebook most of all.
CBNT is no fun because as a mobile blogger I can hardly write. The biggest part of the site I cannot see. So it is not a great substitute yet for Facebook nor twitter. It's the same with weku. At first it worked fine, but since weeks I am not able to login.
As long as these difficulties do exist and you have to pay to post people will not join the blockchain. It is too difficult.

Agree with you on this, but there are people like me who do not have a phone with the capabilities to use WhatsApp, we only have one PC and we have family and friends outside the country and we contact them through Facebook. However, I congratulate you for having these options.
It is true that all these platforms right now have many deficiencies but we must remember that it is a relatively insipient technology and it supports many improvements, we hope that the developers of these sites will notice all this and apply the necessary corrective measures.

I have no computer, a bad and slow internet connection and the less family I have is broad as well except for my 2 youngest. We do not have a smartphone that long and it is our only option to stay in touch. A computer would not even be able to contact to the internet. In most cases I only have 2 or 3 G although I pay for 4.
