Need A Job? Learn Blockchain

in #blockchain6 years ago

Do you remember those commercials back in the day, the ones that suggested you could not get a job unless you knew how to use a computer. There was a funny one with a guy who stops by a prostitute and asks her if she knows how to use excel. And now you need to know how to use a computer well for almost every job you can get. Will that be the same with the blockchain? Maybe it is not as prevalent but there are a lot of openings for blockchain jobs. In fact according to this article there was a 6000% increase on Upwork.

He graduated best in his class,
and his GPA saw no surpass,
but his job hunt stalled,
no companies called,
cause blockchain blow-up too fast.

The market cap of crypto has gone a few thousand percent increase in last few years. Perhaps this 6000% could be a signal of what is yet to come in the future.

I'm a software engineering student, 6th semester and I was focusing on learning java and android but a few months ago when I got into steem, I basically dropped that and switched to learning js and python to be able to help around blockchain projects!

Awesome, its a good skill to have. And you can always transfer skills as you continue to learn.

I'm studying to become a programmer, and I'm thinking of learning something about blockchain, but there aren't many blockchain jobs in my city (Zagreb - we've got plenty jobs in IT, but not many blockchain).

If I decide to go abroad, I'll definitely study about it.

@johnz14 Most def. study about Blockchain. the TOR network is primarily based upon it and even TOR is only a small fraction of what can be used on the WEB... like they continue saying,, "Like an onion". Good luck and keep up the good fight!

Wow and to think unemployment! Now freelancers are being sought out full fledge just to do what they love. I tell you this whole revolution has changed the way we think and go about our day to day life. great post!!

@whatageek

I do not know, more than all the computers in the coming science will come?

what work this blockchain

Exactly what do you learn to learn block chain?

Hardcore programming? I really want to get into it but am not a coder and have no idea where to start.

crypto zombies is a good free place for ethereum coding lessons.

@zekepickleman You can begin learning LINUX and Java Script. These are the fundamentals and expand from there. Linux is actually pretty easy as it is command oriented.
Good luck and keep up the good fight!

Yah makes sense. I am unfortunately too far gone from crunching code and focus more on the business management and marketing side of things.

Inspiring story there @whatageek. I don't think it's flattering if I say blockchain is changing the world. People are already making it a career since the future of cryptocurrencies seems brighter. I'm not even an exception, as a student, Steemit is my job.

I'm currently learning blockchain and the impact of cryptocurrencies to our communities. Here in Uganda, blockchain and crypto terms are not familiar to the majority of the population. So, i'm taking this advantage to quickly learn the new technology that i will teach the masses, ofcourse as a consultant! Making more money in the long run.
Thank you.

We remember back then the days when we only had bitcoin but now more than 1500 cryptocurrencies!! Plus in future for transperency we are going to see blockchain in every field.
Missed the internet train now get onto Blockchain train that’s all I can say
