The digital service space has seen immense growth in recent years. A lot of services is now being offered via the internet and service listing platforms. A perhaps more interesting concept lies in the fact many individuals are beginning to see the value in providing their skills over such platforms. Whether as independent contractors or job seekers, professional and service listing platforms have seen a real rise in use by such individuals over the last few years.

The Problem with Modern day Professionals

When employing or hiring an individual, great pain is taken to investigate the background of the individual in question. This is done to gather information about their skill, experience, qualification and understand if they pose any security threat to the hiring individual or organization. With the advent of a digital presentation of one's resume, there have been more opportunities to falsify one’s qualifications and skill set at this time.

The challenge is everyone wants to look like a superstar professional and to achieve that, they copy profiles, blow up skill set and so on to seemingly meet up with the high-level requirement set. The main issue here is that it is getting exceedingly difficult to detect false profiles and resume as there are little or no verification checks to back up skill and experience claims.

The Blockchain Lie Detector

Spring Role is a new Blockchain startup hosting an Initial Coin Offering (ICO) and with a mission to solve challenges around professional profile trust and hiring verification process. The Spring Role project is looking to promote an attestation protocol whereby key experience and skill conferrers can attach an attestation document to a candidates profile to convince potential employers of the individual’s skill set.

One can argue that Blockchain technology was particularly designed for this kind of solution, with verification and validation protocols embedded within the Blockchain master code, it is surprising that there are not up to a thousand similar services like Spring Role out there.

The Platform

Spring Role is designed to be a social platform dedicated to professionals built on high-level attestation and validation feature by different stakeholders directly associated with the skill or qualifications in question. In essence, in the Spring Role network;

  • Universities to an individual’s degree,
  • Companies can attest to an individual’s experience and skill
  • Individuals can attest to another individual’s portfolio or skill based on jobs done for them
  • People of note can attest to reference notes and character of individuals and so on

The Platform is like many other Blockchain driven platforms; functions on a utility token called the spring role token.
The spring role token may be purchased at the token sale phase or on exchanges after.
In addition, Spring Role users would be able to earn Spring Role by:

  • Referring People
  • Referring companies
  • Endorsing other users on the platform.
  • Working as a validator (i.e. a person attesting a skill, university attesting a degree, company attesting an employment) etc.

The Token Sale Information

Spring Token, found at https://springrole.com/ has a total volume and one time supply of 10 Billion Units. Of these, 2.55 Billion Tokens have been set aside for the ICO which has a target of USD 1 Million (already crossed) and a Hard Cap of USD 12MM. The sale is currently in pre-sale phase.
