BlockTrades adds Mappings page to user profiles
As many of our customers already know, once they get a deposit address from our web site, they can re-use that deposit address to make additional trades. For example, if you’re buying Steem with Bitcoin, and always sending the Steem to the same account, you can keep sending Bitcoin to that same address. This has a couple of advantages over getting a new deposit address each time you want to make a trade: 1) you don’t have to worry about making a typo when you specify the Steem account name that will receive the Steem and 2) if you’re sending Bitcoin from an exchange where you are only allowed to send Bitcoin to whitelisted addresses, you don’t have to get a new address whitelisted in order to buy the Steem.
The biggest problem with re-using deposit addresses has been keeping track of what they are and what coins they map between (i.e. what coin has to be used as payment and what coin you receive). To solve this problem, we’ve added a new Mappings table in each registered user’s profile area. The mappings table displays all of the user’s deposit addresses and what coins they map between.
If you want to re-use one of these mappings, just press the QuickTrade button beside the mapping and you will be taken to a pre-filled version of the QuickTrade page. Here you can use our estimator tool to predict the current exchange rate as well as get instructions on how to make the trade.
Another useful feature of the Mappings table is you can assign “nicknames” to mappings. For example, say you frequently sell SBD to buy Bitcoin and send the Bitcoin to one of three exchanges. You can create three mappings, one for each exchange, then assign a nickname to each mapping to make it easy to remember which mapping sends to which exchange.
@blocktrades Is there any plan to implement a way to ensure the amount of output when swapping currencies on your site? For example when I want to do exact payment directly to a BTC address where false amount won't be tolerated (happens when the payment gateway is automatic) I need to trade my STEEM or SBD for BTC and send the BTC to an exchange then widthdraw those BTC with the exact amount from the exchange to do the payment. This put me through both your fees and the exchanger's fee and it's annoying to wait the transaction to be confirmed on the exchange (both inward and outward). It's inconvenient and i have no interest on holding BTC.
How about give an option to ensure the output amount but with a bit more fees for the input so you don't need to risk a losing trade? I'm sure a lot of people will appreciate it.
Yes we have done part of the work for this feaure. Gui still needs to be implemented.
Cool! Is there any estimation date for the feature to be usable by public?
When i get back from sf3 i will check what work remains.
SF3 was a lot of fun! And thx for the tool - @blocktrades remains one of the most efficient tools connecting Steem with the world :-)

Hello
I am writing about a transaction and requesting help.
I sent 12 SBD to blocktrades via your website for a lease of SP .
But although it’s been five days I have not received it.
Please check on this transaction number which appeared in my wallet, but no SP appeared with it.
I have attached a picture of the transaction and a picture of my wallet showing leased SP from another transaction but not the 900 plus from the transaction five days ago.
Thank you

Hi
I know you are very busy, so thank you, I appreciate your reply. I will take a look at your support page.
Good afternoon.
I was wondering if you would be at all interested in sponsoring a contest intended to draw attention to the fantasy universe I am in the process of creating. In return I would offer to promote blocktrades at the bottom of every post I create on Steemit in perpetuity. It would appear something like this;
Or something to that effect. I'd of course be open to suggestions.
At the moment I do not have many followers because I have been working mostly on content and not so much on engagement. However, I have every intention of doing very well here and expect to have far more followers before long, especially if I am able to run a regular contest to raise awareness of what I am building here.
It is very early days in the creation of my universe, which is going to be massive in scale, so I do believe that while my promoting blocktrades.us today may not be very useful for you, me still doing so on every post a year from now could be very fruitful.
I have asked you before anyone else because I have personally found utility in blocktrades having created this account with it, but if you are not interested then I understand and have a few others in mind who I would like to ask next. So please let me know your thoughts as soon as possible or if you'd like to talk more.
Hope your day's going well.
nice to see you guys evolve
any work in the pipeline to show transparency over how much of a fee we are paying per purchase or sell off?
The price is calculated by looking at literally 100s of different paths. I can't think of an easy way to show the calculation.

How come when I try to "get a new deposit address" when I do a blocktrades transfer, the same deposit address keeps showing up now? It didn't use to do this...
For more efficiency and safety it can reuse deposit addresses now when all the conditions are the same.
Ok, but what if I don't want them to be the same?
Good Updates.
Will Improve Transaction Speed and Accuracy !
Don't you think that sir blocktrades as an exchange is not scaling new heights or you can say the evolution is not happening. The same limited number of exchnage options. Don't you think that it should add more coins for enhancing the exchange option.
It is not a crticism sir, I just want blocktrades to remain little more dynamic, more liquid.
Thank you and Have a great day.
This is excellent! Will there be a facility to use the nicknames instead of the numero-jumbo when we transfer from Steem?
Easiest way to avoid the memo hassle is to use steemconnect feature
It's not a huge hassle. At least not enough for me to place so much trust in SteemConnect. :)
