5G: Mustafa Jabbar to launch in Bangladesh in 2021

Postal, Telecommunication and Information Technology Minister Mustafa Jabbar said that our target is to start 5G services in Bangladesh in 2021. However, it is a challenge for the country to introduce this latest service in line with the socio-economic conditions of the country, he said.

He said this while participating in the Fourth Annual 'Huawei Asia-Pacific Innovation Day' conference in Thailand's capital Bangkok on Wednesday.

The speakers laid emphasis on new innovation to build digital Asia-Pacific zones in the conference. In addition, a $ 81 million investment announcement was announced for the digital ecosystem in Southeast Asia.

The theme of the conference was jointly organized by Huawei Technologies and the Ministry of Science and Technology of Thailand, 'Innovation for the Digital Asia Pacific Region'. A total of 300 public representatives and technology sector experts from all over the world attended the event.
