Travel photo archives: The other road north
When we drove north to Inuvik on the Dempster Highway in Canada, that was the end of the line in the summer. Now there is a year round road further north to Tuktoyaktuk.
I guess this extra road means we'll just have to go back one day—and looking back at the photos, it is surely a place worth revisiting.
One of the best views along the Dempster is looking towards the Tombstone range:
We weren't there when the fireweed was in full flower, but there were a few brightly coloured flowers gracing the roadside:
