Long Time no Post.... Yes I've been slacking....

It's been some time since I've written in my blog. I won't make excuses. However, I will tell about what's happening in my life now. I've found employment. It's really weird for me to say because I was out of work for 8 months. The first 5 I wasn't really looking at all. I would apply for countless jobs on the Indeed site and I signed up with 2 employment agencies. No dice. It was partly my fault as I didn't want to do anything related to my field of expertise, which is real estate law and Mortgages. For over 10 years I've worked for LAW FIRMS representing various mortgage companies, credit unions and small banks. I would prepare the closing package and final numbers for real estate transactions, primary homes, second homes, investment properties, constructions deals., new home builds, things of that nature. I always felt weird about the details of this as borrowers would seem to be paying back, double what the property was worth during the course of a loan. It never "sat right" with me. My last job was the straw that broke the camels back. Now, I was making a pretty good salary by today's standards, however my soul and family life was suffering tremendously. I just couldn't do it anymore. The long hours, the crass treatment we all endured trying to appease the clients at the expense of sanity. Fuck that!!!
So my honey suggested I post my resume on Craigslist, and low behold I secured employment from that post!!! What WHAT!!!! I've taken a step back to get back to doing something not stressful. This is my first week on the job and it seems pretty easy so far. The ladies at the office are all very nice and I had a good vibe since the interview. All is well.
So very recently, my honey separated one of the smaller chickens from the pack and put them where I keep my ducks around a pond. Somehow she was able to escape and for some strange reason she made a beeline to my dog Lilu, who I keep on a leash because she's a dog who can't be trusted. She's already got a hold of one of my ducks and killed her. Well Lilu ate the chicken :(. I still think it was suicide by dog on the chicken's part as my ducks won't go near Lilu. It's nature and these things happen.
Meh.
