Kids - Out - for - Summer

I tried to play the Alice Cooper staple for the kids as they walked up the driveway on the last day of school but was mostly ignored. The 8-year-old boy quickly ran in to get his new squirt guns and his big sister gave me the old eye roll. They'll get it someday.

Their first day of summer vacation happened to be on a Friday and mom had the day off of work so we packed into the car and headed to the zoo. We have been long time members of Ft Wayne Children's Zoo so we will keep taking them until they get sick of it, if that is even possible.

This is the first time they have had their faces painted so they all chose to be big cats. Leopard, tiger and lion.

Don't know why the picture is sideways, don't care enough to change it.

Sunday they went to the park with their aunt and didn't get home until after dark.

Today my 9-year-old girl wanted me to get her some books from the I Survived series off Amazon. I will always buy them any books they want.

Good start to summer vacation.
