Teacher's Summer Camp 2018- Episode III | Týdny pohybu hrou 2018 - Epizoda III.

The third day of my incredible adventure of being a supervisor at a summer camp is here!

Wednesday 25/7/2018

Today was probably the most difficult day out of those that I have to survive here at the summer camp. We started with a trip to the horseback riding school, altogether 5 groups and the children could have played games, ride their scooter in the skatepark or just go peek to the stables and last but not least ride horses and ponies.

The second activity for today after lunch was brenball - which is sort of a simplified version of baseball or cricket. Sadly, my group had to play against the older kids and that meant it was a bit harder for them compared to if they played against children of the same age. But still, I thought that the children actually liked it overall. I only wish that they understood the rules after the first explanation :)

And the last thing we did today was climbing which is just adored by the children. But on the other hand from the point of view of the staff it is one of the most demanding both in the psychological and physical sense of the word. When it came to the physical part it's about the fact that we have to take the children down from the climbing wall. And when it comes to the psychological part? Well, I'm just always afraid for the children, so they don't fall and get hurt.

Dnešní den byl zřejmě ten nejobtížnější den z těch, které zde na táboře musím přežít. Začali jsme výlet do jízdarny, dohromady nás bylo celkem 5 skupin, kde si děti mohou hrát různé hry, či jezdit v skateparku na koloběžkách nebo se jít podívat do stájí a v neposlední řadě si také zajezdit na koních a ponících.

Druhou dnešní aktivitou hned po obědě byl brenbal, což je taková zjednodušená verze basebalu nebo kriketu. Bohužel moje skupina musela hrát se staršími dětmi, což pro ně znamenalo trochu ztížení, ale i tak mi přišlo, že dětem se to celkově líbilo. Jenom bych si přála, aby vždy pochopili pravidla hned na první vysvětlení :)

No a poslední, co jsme dnes dělali, bylo horolezení, které děti prostě zbožňují. Ale na druhou stranu z pohledu dozoru patří mezi ty nejnáročnější, a to jak po psychické tak fyzické stránce. Co se týče fyzické stránky věci, tak to je relativně očividné, musíme děti sundávat ze stěny. A co se týče psychické? Prostě mám vždy velkou starost o děti, aby nespadly a neublížily si.
