Confidence and Self-esteem, the Success Factor?
Hello fellow steemians and here to share my thoughts about Self confidence, Self-esteem and how it determines success.
Self confidence is a feeling of trust in one's capabilities, qualities and judgement. The self confidence am talking about does not include arrogance as most people mistake arrogance as confidence.
Am talking about the confidence one need to stand up to the world and its challenges. Through confidence, we believe in ourselves and be constantly reminded that we will succeed. Confidence helps us take actions and conquer any doubts that's bound to come up.
Confidence does not come from conforming to what the society, family and friends wants but from self acceptance and validation. I noticed that the happiest people are the ones with confidence and good self-esteem.
SELF-ESTEEM
Self-esteem is defined as a reflection of an individuals overall subjective and emotional evaluation of their worth. A healthy self esteem gives you the confidence to believe in your worth and abilities and be able to try new things.
People with low self-esteem live constantly in doubts and expect failures at the long run. It creates boundaries and limits your standards. The way we see ourselves defines our productivity. Low self-esteem makes us pay so much attention to negative feedbacks, accept them and gradually turn us to be pessimists.
Confidence and Self-esteem, the Success Factors?
Healthy self-esteem results to self confidence and the following points proves that confidence determines success.
Confidence allows us try out new things and not shy away from productive ideas.
Confidence gives us the ability to stand up for ourselves, defend ourselves and also establish our thoughts.
Confidence helps us get rid of the fear of failure and the paralysis we could encounter from it.
An optimist believe in himself/herself because confidence is not lacking.
Confidence helps us establish a high standards and avoid mediocre results.
Confident people are always easy to say YES to new opportunities and ideas and say NO to situations that are unfavourable.
Confidence gives us the opportunity to ask questions in areas we need answers and also allow us the opportunity to test and establish our limits.
