My Trip to Cape Town Trough Garden Route : Knysna

in #blog7 years ago (edited)

Knysna was roughly translated from "Khoi Khoi" which means "People People" or "Real People". It was inhabited by native southwesteren African people since 5 century AD and Europeans colonised this area after 1652. The name also came from the river that is flowing in surrending areas.

The major attraction in the region is the Knysna Heads Viewpoint, Brenton on Sea, The Big Tree, Stroms River Mouth and the boating clubs. Knysna Heads are the pair of cliffs the are located in the ocean reef. There are western and eastern heads, there are ferrys available to access westeren head.

Big Tree is 1000 years old, 8 meters trunk circumference and 36 meters tall. The big tree is close to Stroms River ans the River Mouth, visitors can see the suspension bridge provided by South African National parks and extrodinory beaches. I personaly liked this ares it has good sight seeing and adventures games like Scuba diving, Boat Rafting and Bungy Jumping.
Thats all for now, tomorrow we a heading to George and Mossel Bay. I will share my trip details soon.

Here are the few pics that we clicked in this area:
