Thank you so much for all the support! It’s unbelievable how much you guys have supported me since I started here on steemit <3

I feel like it’s a place where I can be myself, post my pictures, fiction and blogs. The money that I have earnedso far, from my posts, I’ve spend on something that means the world to me. It might be weird to some of you, but please let me explain.

I got sick in 2011 and got the diagnose hypothyroidism. It has a lot of side effects:

  • Fatigue
  • Weakness
  • Weight gain or increased difficulty losing weight
  • Coarse, dry hair
  • Dry, rough pale skin
  • Hair loss
  • Cold intolerance (you can't tolerate cold temperatures like those around you)
  • Muscle cramps and frequent muscle aches
  • Constipation
  • Depression
  • Irritability
  • Memory loss
  • Abnormal menstrual cycles
  • Decreased libido

Just to name some of them. It’s a disease that is hard to get control of, and it’s even harder to explain how you feel to people who haven’t experienced it themselves. It's like its eating all your energy, your happiness and just slowly dragging you down. I used to have loads of mood swings, and I could start crying over nothing.

For me my hair means a lot to me (again it might sound stupid to you, but that's really how I feel). Before I got sick I was normal weight and had thick hair. I’ve been sad about how my hair looked like for a long time, and because of all of you guys, I could finely afford getting extensions.

I am so happy for my new hair, and I’ve had it for about 1 week – It has given me so much confidence, I even feel pretty again.

I would like to raise more awareness about this, since a lot of people suffer from it every day. You can read more about it here https://www.endocrineweb.com/conditions/thyroid/hypothyroidism-too-little-thyroid-hormone

I’m still sick with hypothyroidism, and still fighting to get back at where I was mentally and physically in 2011.

I will soon write a blog about how it all started, and how I am today. Hopefully I can give you some tips to how you can feel better, or how you can help a loved one, who might suffer from this disease.

But again, thank you all so much for your support - I couldn't have done this without you <3
