Some math topics are related to science topics. These math fields include:

• Mathematical physics
• Statistics & Genetics
• Biostatistics
• Math in Engineering Fields
• Computer Science & Math (i.e. Artificial Intelligence)

Because science uses data to make hypothesis about the world math must be used

I'm not too sure on this but I can say that anything research related in the sciences do use statistics and maybe some computer programming.
