Ep 3 of 4 - Humanbot and other Projects: Interview with a Top Curie Curator @carlgnash.
Welcome back for episode 3
Earlier this week I headed down to Springfield, OR to meet up with @carlgnash.
For those who may not know, Carl is one of the top curators for @curie and has recently been elected as a Curie community representative. We met up at Plank Town Brewing Company for beers and a great discussion about steemit content curation.
Our talk is broken up into four episodes:
Episode 1 is about curation and some tools to use to help you find posts. Click here to watch it.
Episode 2 we talk about Curie. Click here to watch it.
Episode 3 @carlgnash talks about his current curation projects.
Episode 4 we talk about the future of curation.
Stay tuned for the remaining episode.
Episode 1... Episode 2 ...Episode 3... Episode 4

Carl gives some great advice.

The SQL query is a great way to find posts that you may have not seen before. After trying it out briefly, I can see already how it would be a great asset for a curator to find the kinds of posts they would like to find.
If you would like to set up your own SQL query, read these two posts by Carl:

A special thanks to @fronttowardenemy for filming and editing video
@carlgnash totally stole my idea for @humanbot :) It was supposed to be @geekbot :) Joking.
@geekbot username is open... just sayin'...
Nah, I will make use of @librarian.
You guys rock! Thanks again for letting me ramble on about my personal projects :) I realize as I listen through this that I actually only covered one of @r-bot's missions - @r-bot has a threefold mission statement:
Love - Carl
Here is the link to a step-by-step tutorial I wrote on how to join the @humanbot curation trail at steemauto.com - the process is the same if you want to join the @r-bot vote trail:

Oh yea! I forgot this link. Thank you.
I'm joined with @human bot curation trail.. but I need to join the r-bot one still. Thanks for the reminder. :)
i'll be listing you in a post this coming week, keep it coming, good work :)
Ahh cool! Thank you very much :)
Nice work guys (although I think Carl needs to drink more beer to lower inhibitions and share more secrets!).
Not being able to earn more rewards after 7 days hurts. I know my stuff if probably not up with the greats, but I do put in a few hours/sometimes days and trying to improve - As such happy to put my hand up as a guinea pig for first round of human bot Steemit way back machine! if wanted to choose my best post in your mind :)....was also thinking a bot that allowed people to easily pick a curator and dynamically allocate 10% of SP to them would be nice. i.e. support curators vs. unhuman bots..Just an idea. Plus Carl's shirt made me feel like I was being pulled into an alternative dimension, which is added bonus. Cheers.
@lordnigel following a curation trail with a percentage of your vote is kind of the same thing as what you are saying, right? And also - check out FOSSbot.
And yes I would absolutely love to have you on board the Steemit Wayback Machine feel free to drop a link to your most awesomest and undervalued post ever right here in reply :) I do drink a few beers, the last segment should be the most interesting ;)
Haha beer is good, can't wait for the last one then.
Sorry still learning & new to social media, to give you an idea I just made my first Utube account, something I thought I'd never do (just so i can post movies on Steemit to improve posts). Yeah my computer skills/understanding is a bit lame..will checkout FOSSbot
Gosh...best most awesome link..the pressure, the pressure...
I'd say probably my favorite is the one that's currently running. I suspect it not going much higher, but if I keep improving and matching this standard, I should start increasing and I'll look back in few months and wonder (..would I have done better if I posted now).

The only other one I can think is this one...But I realise my skills/understanding was low, it kindda made nothing.
