Clearing Up Confusion - Deep Web vs. Dark Web vs Surface Web

in #blog7 years ago (edited)

It is best for you people , just imagine the Web as an entire ocean. the SURFACE WEB is the top of the ocean, which is accessible to everyone and appears to spread for miles around. Now come to the DEEP WEB which is the deeper part of the ocean beneath the surface, little difficult to go and accessible to some people, not for mass people. and the last part but not the lest , which is DARK WEB. It is the bottom of the ocean, a place accessible for very little percentage of people only by using special technologies.

WORLD WIDE WEB / SURFACE WEB:
Only 4% of the content on the internet is www... which includes public websites such as Google, eBay, Facebook etc

DEEP WEB:
Over 90% of the information on the internet is in the deep web and is not accessible by surface web crawlers. However it doesn’t mean that they are dark web areas. they are just one layer removed from the public web that”s searchable through search engines.

DARK WEB:
The dark web consists of websites that use public internet, but require specific software for access and is not indexed by search engines to ensure anonymity. The stolen data , stuffs are traded , sold and used for financial , political or personal gain.

i hope this blog will make your concept more clear....
