How I found Long Island Iced Tea

I still remember that night when I first time drink long Island Iced Tea as if it had happened yesterday. I was at the afterparty with my friends. After dancing for a while, I suddenly felt so thirsty. One of my friends offered me a drink. That cocktail tasted so refreshingly and smooth. I asked my friend "Hey...What is that drink?". He told me that it is Long Island Iced Tea and this club makes the best Long Island Iced Tea in the city. I was like "Okey, good to know....What's in it?" When he told me what's in it, I was like...he is probably joking.

I didn't believe that there are so many different drinks in this cocktail. But truth was that he told me the truth and now this cocktail is on of my favorite party cocktail.

So what cocktail Long Island Iced Tea is?

A Long Island Iced Tea is a cocktail typically made with vodka, tequila, light rum, triple sec, gin, and a splash of cola, which gives the drink the same amber hue as its namesake. Although it doesn't contain tea, it's taste is similar.

Ingredients:

1 part vodka
1 part tequila
1 part rum
1 part gin
1 part triple sec
1 1/2 parts sweet and sour mix
1 splash Coca-Cola

Mix ingredients together over ice in a glass. Pour into a shaker and give one brisk shake. Pour back into the glass and make sure there is a touch of fizz at the top. Garnish with lemon.
