02022020: A Time for Celebration

in #blog5 years ago (edited)

Hello Steemit lovies! Hello friends! I hope you are having a pleasant day today!

It feels like I am still on Cloud9 after the things that happened yesterday and the days that had passed. Honestly, I never expected such day would arrive in my life. Never in my entire existence have I thought I would be passing a board examination, and never have I thought that it would be on the same month with my brother's success.

What am I saying by the way? I think might be getting you confused with what I am saying especially to those who are new on this blog of mine.

So yeah, my brother and I passed our respective board examinations on the same year. Although we, aspiring teachers, took it early than those who were taking the licensure examination for Civil Engineers, the latter were able to know the results earlier than us. At that time, the only thing I have in mind is that I really do not know what to do if and if I fail the examination. I do not know how to face such failure as my parents were looking toward my success. My heartbreak would be their heartbreak too. Everyday seems to have been a heavy load on my shoulder. But thankfully, and a big thanks to God, I made it.

Oathtaking and Pinning Ceremony

I could say I really am favored because the examination was not that hard for me. How was I able to know? Well, it was during the examination. I already had an idea that I would get a percentage of 82% as I was able to identify the mistakes that I had made duirng the examination.

You might think of me that I am boasting right now but not really. I am just thankful to God because He alone has made me able. I know for a fact that the things he allowed me to experience and the wisdom that He has endowed to me has helped me to become successful in this point of my life.

I think this also goes to others who passed the examination. The entire journey was rougher than what we expected it to be. Getting a slot for registration alone was so tiring that it took almost a month for others to get one because it has always been full on different respective offices. Aside from that, there were more than a hundred thousand aspiring teachers who took the said examination and only 39% were able to pass it.

For the Cagayan de Oro City and Butuan takers, the event took place at Lim Ketkai Atrium Center yesterday. There were also passers from Bukidnon who joined the said event as there was not a venue to cater them. With more than six thousand (6,000) passers around, the place was packed with people. There were even passers who came late that were asked to stand during the entire said program.

I really do not know why but the moment I saw my name on the program and the moment we had our oathtaking, few drops of tears came rolling from my eyes. I really am not that sentimental or maybe I am but it is just now that I realized I am one.

I am also thankful to my parents and aunties who had been so supportive of me especially in terms of financial aspect. I am pass twenty and they are still supporting me. I could not be more happier.

The program would really be very boring if not because of my newfound friends. I was not able to seat with my classmates from Certificate of Teaching since I arrived on a different schedule from them.

My newfound friends are passers from Malaybalay City, Bukidnon by the way. We got to share a lot of insights and experiences during the preboard and board examination period. I was also able to share to them the educational technologies that I used during my internship.

After the program, I got to meet my classmates from COT and have taken photos with them. We also got to converse even for a short span of time. We also got to update with each other on the things we want to do in life and some other plans. I guess I do miss them a lot!

Something fun to celebrate: Kpop Fanfare2
It was I who influenced my brother to Kpop; but it was my brother who influenced me to mingle with other KPOP fans across the city by inviting me to take part on different cupsleeve events. I must say it had been so fun but it was expensive and fattening at the same time since I need to spend some money to buy official and unofficial merchanises. I also need to buy and drink milk tea for some free cupsleeves and freebies.

And speaking of KPOP, I was also invited to join the KPOP Fanfare event at Centrio Ayala. It was not as grand as the usual kpop events overseas but it was very fun.

There were actually a lot of booths from different fans club. And these booths had a lot of raffle draw and merchandises. Too bad I was not able to win on any of the raffles but yeah, that's fine. I got to enjoy the booths and the performances from different dance groups.

Here are some of the booths by the way:

Red Velvet Booth/ Reveluv CDO
Stray Kids Booth/ SKZ
Got7 Booth
Twice Booth

Multifandom Fans of CDO
My most favorite part on the said event is that I got to be with my new found Kpop niche. We were basically loud during the event. Well, at most of the events we had been through, we are loudest and noisiest. I thank God that we were not kicked out by the staff from the different milk tea shops that we had been to during cupsleeve events. And I cannot wait to be with them on the other kpop and nonkpop events!

We did not wait for the event to end since we still need to join the celebration that my parents had prepared for us. Honestly, I had been so tired even before the day ended because I had been sleeping late for the past few days. I was just so tired but at the same time I was so happy and I really appreciate the efforts of the people who had been with us on the dinner party.
I am so grateful that more than a hundred people celebrated with us that day. I was not able to take photos of them though because I got so busy talking to each and everyone around.

Before I forget, I would also like to extend my gratitude to the Casino, Hilario, and Reyes family. You guys are just so awesome. Thank you for being with me every step of the way.

I would also like to put emphasis to Auntie Belen and Athena. Thank you for being so thoughtful that you gave Jose and I these delectable treats. I love you all.
