Good morning everyone! I have so many things to share so I really made sure that I wrote them all down on my to-do list. I hope you are all doing fine. I also hope that Japan is also doing fine and that the typhoon would become less intense. I had a first hand experience on being stuck on a strong typhoon and the experience was not pleasant at all
Anyway, this post is a continuation on my story on what happened to me last Sunday. Yes! It is Saturday here in the Philippines and I am writing on what happened last Sunday.
We were suppose to have lunch at church but because we were invited by my godmother (who flew all the way from Germany), we decided to head out there at Prawnhouse Restaurant which is located along the highway of Opol, Misamis Oriental.
I could not say no to the invitation because for one, I really love the venue. They also offer a great deal of great tasting meals right of at your table.
Since it was lunch time, the place was packed with people the moment we already had our order. My godmother, Tita Margot was waving at us as soon as we reached the venue. I must say, the spot they chose was really great and that they arrived earlier than us.
In the middle of our lunch, I decided to take photos of them. By the way, I was with my parents' co-workers before. They used to work together in a private school which was attended mostly by Chinese Filipinos in Cagayan de Oro. So, as you notice they were all educators as well.
Of course! I was not part of it since aside from the fact that I was busy eating, I was also busy talking to them. It was a lovely afternoon since we seldom got to see each other, even with my mom's other friends.
While our (the ladie's) topic was focused on what was happening in Cagayan de Oro, Robert and my dad talked about Robert's adventures in the United States with some of his friends.
He sure do is a cool person because he drives around Germany with his Harley Davidson bike. He and his friends even toured across the states with their rented HD for weeks!
With good food around, it surely made the conversation lighter. I was really so full at that time. I just wish I could easily turn the food into energy and use it because I had been gaining a lot of weight lately. My!
Part 3: Aunt Eve's birthday! Hurray!
Meanwhile, for our dinner, since it was my Aunt Evelyn's birthday, she decided that we would be having lunch at Cuchara Verde. It is an organic (I think that is the right term) restaurant. The food is a little bit pricey but I say it is worth it.
As you can see, we ordered a lot of pasta (from carbonara to seafood pasta). I could not take photos of it all because I was then busy munching my own. In all honestly, my stomach has been so bloated. The quesadilla alone was just so packed that it weighed heavy on my stomach. But still, no regrets!
Indeed my day was filled with food and laughter. I could not be more thankful! Come to think of it then, my day has been surrounded by teacher and my entire life as well! Happy world teacher's day everyone!
P.S. In awhile, my family and I would be heading to our ancestral house for dinner. It is my Aunt Fe's birthday naman!
