Pelindo Lhokseumeawe and Tiga Perusahaanen MoU

LHOKSEUMAWE - PT Pelindo I Lhokseumawe signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with PT Rencong Pulp & Paper Industry, PT Sarana Aceh Utara, and PT Aceh Makmur Bersama, Thursday (11/1), in Medan, North Sumatra. The three companies said they are ready to export imports at the Port of Krueng Geukueh, Dewantara Sub-district, North Aceh.

General Manager of Pelindo I Lhokseumawe, Prahartiwinarso, said on Friday (13/1) that the signing of the MoU was conducted simultaneously with a dialogue followed by elements of Aceh Government, North Aceh Regency Government and Pemko Lhokseumawe, investors, importers,
parties involved in activities at the Port of Krueng Geukueh.

Prahartiwinarso said, PT Rencong Pulp & Paper Industry will make triplex in the Port of Krueng Geukueh for local and import needs. "It is estimated that this company will accommodate about 400 workers which will benefit the local community," he said.

While PT Sarana Aceh Utara will import asphalt. Meanwhile PT Aceh Makmur Bersama is engaged in CPO. "With these three companies in the near future will move, then there are five companies that routinely move on the Port of Krueng Geukueh. The other two are cement companies, "said Prahartiwinarso.

He is optimistic with the support of all parties, Port of Krueng Geukueh will fast forward. Moreover, it has been set in Special Economic Zones (KEK). While the dialogue was held in Medan it aims to increase the confidence of the importers and investors to conduct activities at the Port of Krueng Geukueh.

Secure investors
In the dialogue, appeared as speakers, among others, Wakapolres Lhokseumawe, Kompol Isharyadi, and Danlanal Lhokseumawe, Colonel Mar Nasruddin. Both are on different occasions declared ready to secure investors who will berkitivitas in the international port, including security at sea. (Bah)
