TIME TO ORGANIZE YOURSELF: WHY DOES IMMIGRANT VENEZUELANS COST BOTH EXIT SUCCESSFULLY ABROAD? Part 2.

in #blog6 years ago

Hi, Steemians! A real pleasure to be back with you, continuing a reflection that has certainly caused me a rather awesome mental noise. I read again and again my previous post, and I realize that the harsh reality in which my country Venezuela is immersed, has led us to advocate for causes that we had never thought to defend, in order to achieve success in other countries, with our name on high.

I talked about the comfort to which the Venezuelan gets used to, and it is not cause for shame; We have grown up with a culture where we are taught that the family is the most important thing, that we should take care of it, treasure it, and that in the family union there is strength. This we have channeled through meetings, gatherings, partying, and there is no way to blame us, because being among those who love you, with a good plate of food is very tasty. The problem here has been presented, since overnight, the Venezuelan has had to sacrifice this by video calls every night to see their children, their parents, their loved ones; to collect the fortnight to send money to his family and see over the phone that they are happy because they managed to buy food; and in other cases, to come to the country where they were born and grow, to bury their families.

Work dignifies, work enhances your self-esteem, work develops your emotional intelligence. But in the absence of your family, your culture, the activities that already generated a positive emotional charge, it turns out that strength becomes your best friend, and it is your decision if you let nostalgia win you every day, or you prefer to use it as a tool to wake up every day and perform a lot more and better than you did in your country. What are you working for? to be sad all the time? We know that this was not what you wanted, but your way of handling the sadness of not being in your country is causing you to fail along the way.

Have you heard about the law of attraction? It's so subjective that we could write hundreds of posts about it, and start a debate about its much-desired certainty; because c’mon, who does not like the idea that what you want, becomes a reality? It's nice in any way; but the truth is that, whether we want it or not, or live in whatever country, or under the beliefs we have, our mind has power.

I read at some point in my life, that the mind and the heart have to be cohesive so that what we want is solidified in facts in our lives; and obviously I agree with this thought, since success does not consist in dividing, it consists in multiplying, in adding to our lives positive actions that leave a mark in our lives, and in the lives of those around us.
So, what do you expect to organize your mind, your day to day, your heart, your pocket? Organize!

We know that for Venezuelans abroad, and even for people in general, the day to day clothes us overwhelmingly, and without realizing, we are living to work and get home to prepare dinner and breakfast of the next day; but try to take 5 minutes for you, for your mental organization, so that you truly KNOW WHAT YOU WANT IN YOUR LIFE, and be able to decide what actions to take based on this desire that you have found in the deepest part of you. Do you want to return to Venezuela with the savings you have? Do not have savings, but want to start saving? Do you want to start your own business? Do you want to learn to cook? Do you want to study something different? ANY RESPONSE IS VALID.

Why? Simply because it is your life, and the decisions you make will affect you fully and directly. You have responsibilities with people who count on you to subsist financially, but you are becoming unhappy, every day the sadness, the frustration and the fact that the opportunities for your personal and professional growth are escaping from your hands keeps you in a position of stress which is what makes you an angry, incomprehensible and misunderstood person, that in the long run does not have the capacity to interact interpersonally, an essential competence for a job in any organization; be an insurance multinational, or a fast food chain.

The bad mood is dominating you daily, but you and only you have the power to change that condition. Try to organize a night and discern what is YOUR priority, and go out the next morning being HAPPY because you found yourself, in a certain way, and because it is your decision and not obligation to work, be and do for that.

A smile will open many doors! Not only at the job but also at the personal level. We have heard so many xenophobic and racist stories, that we arrive in other countries totally conditioned to relate with other people, but that is what we got in this moment of our life; for we are alone in a world where unfortunately for some, we can not survive in absolute solitude; We do not even take public transport without having to ask someone where we should go, when it is our first time and we do not know anything at all. We are not born learned, neither you, nor I, nor the Colombians, Ecuadorians, Chileans, nor the Americans or the Russians; we are on this planet to obtain learning of everything and everyone; a woman who graduated from college at age 22 tells you, and she has learned more in 11 months from her little daughter, than from veterans in college! ♥

Try to organize as much as you can, take a break every hour or 2; and if the work does not allow it, if you are being abused or exploited; move on. You are a being full of light, of energy and you deserve good things that help you get what you want. Write the intentions you have for the following week, for the next month, and propose no matter what, get them. Work every day for and for it; and not based on the sadness of what you left behind; but in the curiosity and emotion of what you can get later, of what you can enjoy; and the certainty that sooner or later those nights of video calls will end, because the purposes of life that you draw for yourself, are close if you decide. Nobody has power over you more than you. Neither your mother, nor your exploiting boss, nor your partner, and even if it seems a lie, nor your children. They are the engine that moves us, but it is our decisions that determine the path that will lead us to success, and at what speed. Decide for you, for you; so that your mind and your heart work happily for and for yours!

My heart has deviated a bit from the central theme of the post, but I truly believe in the power of motivation, in the power of the mind, and in the power of a positive attitude. Happy day steemians and thank you for being part of my reflection!
