Bad For You

in #blog5 years ago

Something I heard today made me realize I might actually be bad for you. And no, I don't mean in just the socially conditioned sense--in that, duh, it's a no brainer--obviously, I am bad for you. No, I mean.. in essence. In truth. I might just actually be bad for you.

Now the first automatic reaction and thought after realizing such possibility was - I must run away! I must give you up. Immediately! And not just outwardly like now, but for realsies. Truly. Energetically. Let you go for good.

And yet.. wait a minute. Haven't we done this before? Isn't this like THE pattern, anyways? Me running away to try to save you from me? Yeah, sounds familiar.

So.., old, worn-out patterns obviously don't work. There must be a third option. If only I look for it. There's always a third option. Sometimes so in your face, that you're unable to see it at first. Like glasses, you circle around to look for just to find them on your nose.

I, sorry, I really don't have my sources straight, I truly don't remember where I heard this from, but there's this idea that whenever we classically fall for someone it's only because the other person has some sort of qualities that we've been "forced" to give up in ourselves.

Playfulness, high spirits, epicness, boldness, dominance.. If I, in turn, embody these qualities, maybe I can cure the infatuation in its core.

But maybe I don't want to..
