The Road to Quitting Smoking

in #blog7 years ago

I've smoked a pack every day now for thirteen years. It's been sort of my saving grace, and being a vocalist, it's also one of my worst enemies. Well, a couple of months ago I decided to try and quit, and so I replaced it with vaping. Got myself a nice mod and tank and sucked that glycerol good stuff for the last two months with intermittent cigarettes. I figured it would be easier to stop cigarettes if I get used to the vape. Well, really it made no difference. I'm on day 2 now of cold turkey nadda zip zilch 'gimme a 'fuckin smoke slap it off the wrist look around paranoidily... okay it's actually not that bad. I think I'm actually going to quit this time.

I save a lot of money
I become healthier
I wont smell bad to non smokers
I'll get a better sense of smell
clouds will part
Jesus will ascend from the heavens
He will then float down towards me with a smile
put his hand on my shoulder
Jesus lights me a smoke
I take a puff of that smoke
"thank you Jesus" I say
I'll be able to run for longer distances
