Iligan Advedture: Aiming your Target go FIRING

in #blog7 years ago (edited)

As part of my adventure blog – here is one of my amazing and terrifying experienced I ever had. Aside from beaching, outings, and food trips I also ant to do things beyond my limits. And this is it! But this doesn’t mean that it makes me tough. What I mean is FIRING! LIKE YES, FIRING! I just want to experience this maybe someday I want to enter military, kidding aside!

FIRING TRAINING – How to shoot and hold a handgun.
To do:

  1. Always assume a gun is loaded, and always have it pointed in a safe direction.
  2. Make sure the gun is clear by removing the magazine (not the “clip”) and setting it down.
  3. The dominant hand grips. Shooting effectively should always be done with two hands when possible, because a two-handed grip is always more stable and therefore more accurate. Hold the gun with your dominant hand and place it high on the grip.
  4. Next, place the heel of your non-dominant hand in the exposed portion of the grip so that it completely fills the space.
  5. This two-handed grip will feel completely unnatural, much like holding a golf club for the first time.
  6. Assume a proper shooting position with your feet shoulder width apart and your knees slightly bent. Don’t lock out your knees and don’t flex your leg muscles but, establish a grounded base with the lower half of your body.
  7. Determine your dominant eye. When shooting a target that’s farther than a few yards away, you’ll depend on your dominant eye. Don’t assume it matches your dominant hand.
  8. Now, from the ready position, extend your arms out in front of you and prepare to aim in on your target with your dominant eye. Your arms should be extended but not locked.
  9. Aim. The Glock 30 has a small rectangular front sight with a rear notched sight. When looking down the top of the gun, keep your dominant eye on the front sight so that it rests in the middle of the rear notched sight.
  10. Pulling the trigger. Properly firing the gun with accuracy and preparing yourself for the next shot involves excellent trigger management. In fact, contrary to popular belief, you shouldn’t just pull the trigger — it’s much more of a well-modulated press.
  11. Firing (dry). Now that you’re aimed in properly and ready to fire (dry), make sure your front sight is clear and on the target. You will experience some movement with the front sight (it tends to move in a figure eight, side to side), but with time, practice and over-familiarity, you’ll develop muscle memory to decrease this movement.

As what I’ve experienced the gun is to heavy, like upon pulling the trigger and aiming my target my hands were shivering though it’s not my first time. I can say that you must have a strong hand to grip it. Overall for this enjoy experienced you can feel some trauma, like the gun is pushing you away that your hands were swaying and shaking. But if you shot your target and aim it, well done! You’re now a shooter.

So, after this techniques and guides, feel free to be like James bond. But always remember that gun not a toy. Always be responsible on using this kind of thing. Doing firing practice, one must be cautious and alert. Be careful always that’s the first thing. Be mindful of holding it, do not aim to a person. Do it with some guidance, or with the experts always.
