We begin to dismember the preconceived ideas of gender and it seems that we are left with nothing. And that's right, we're left with nothing. Nothing is exclusive to men or women. The gender you build. And the name you put on it, too.

Pregnancy in transsexual men is a personal decision and one that must be respected, few pregnancies have caused more noise in Latin America such as Fernando Machado and Diane Rodriguez, both transsexuals who had a happy pregnancy in the natural way, and who gave birth in Ecuador.

In fact, there are no labor policies that cover the needs and pregnancy rights of transsexual men in Latin America. Most of them are not very controversial because they usually get pregnant before taking hormones (sometimes the product of sexual violence), and before sex change and legal name, being protected by the rights of female pregnancy. When they begin the hormonal transition, they assume that their gender construction does not include pregnancy, considering it only of women. Therefore, transsexual men who decide to get pregnant are so valuable and courageous, because they open new questions and possibilities for other transsexual men and for the world. The world changes and redefines constantly just as we do.
