Countdown Until Coding Boot-camp. 20 Day's To Go.
I feel like I have been barely treading water, grasping at new knowledge as fast as I can absorb it. I am saturated. With Coding Bootcamp just three weeks away, I am feeling nervous about how complicated the simple things are to master. I have begun this journey and I am committed and hopeful that everything will make sense soon. I need all of the basics first.
Here are some of the things I have been working on The last few days preparing to go to Coding Boot-camp.
Practice typing for at least one hour every day.
Practicing typing is so boring. Unlearning bad habits is awkward and demoralizing. I have no choice but to keep slamming away at the keyboard until it becomes second nature and I laugh about my clumsy two finger typing.
Finish Coding Dojo's Boot-camp homework.
The Coding Dojo sent me some homework to accomplish before I start the Boot-camp. It is all basic stuff, I can't believe how complicated it is. I can't put together the pieces because I am still building my base knowledge up. My Godness!
Master text editor.
I don't know if this is everyone's experience, but the text editor has been giving me some trouble. Mostly just completely confusing the hell out o me. It is supposed to be the simple one... The one I have on my windows is working fine (notebook ++) But the one on my MacBook (atom) has been complicated. I had a moment of fear last night that I wasn't going to be able to pull this off, considering how hard the first basic stuff is. I decided that I will have to just wait and see.
Figure out git and github.
Speaking of git and github... complicated anyone. Well at least for my newbie's eyes. I have been working on it on youtube. It has been a slow process, I will let you know if the clouds have parted for me in my next blog post.
HTML and CSS Classes
I have been watching endless youtube classes on the subject. I have been making buttons, links, different fonts, colors, layouts, columns, and forms. Wow, I guess I have been learning stuff. Sometimes it doesn't feel like it.
Hahahha that first gif! Hilarious :) but for real, it’s awesome that you are learning to code! You will be ready for boot camp with all the prep work you are putting in
Thank you @polebird, your comments are always so encouraging, I really appreciate them :)
I would not have figured you to be a coder from meeting you but that just shows how dynamic you are!
I certainly am not interested in doing what would need to be done learning all that stuff but I sure would like to "just know" hahahaha and certainly am aware of just how valuable it is, and only is more so every day in this computer fueled world.
If you really like it and are interested in it then I feel this is a very wise investment and will allow you to do some really cool things.
Wishing you the best on your journey. Share about it here on Steem I am sure it will get some good support!
I love that is this life we can choose to dramatically change your life's course to try out a new life path, it's beautiful. I would never have thought I could or would be a coder either! But I truly believe in this blockchain movement and its chance to change and help heal the world. I have to jump at that opportunity to be a part of building the future with the betterment of the world in mind. It is so exciting! I can not wait to code on the blockchain. I am so happy to hear from you, sending lots of love.
Awesome indeed!
Oh the lives Steem has already change and will continue to do! In fact thats the only reason we know each other!

Just keep hacking at it, you will have a breakthrough at some point. Also you shouldn't pressure yourself too much because it can spoil your learning experience.
it's a time served thing. go in, go again, go in, take time out, think of something to make, find a way to make it. it's just hours and hours of information you need to take in but you can take time on it. i wish you the very best!
YIKES! Your brain must be on fire!!!
I read this week that the BEST thing you can do to retain information when you're learning a new language is to SLEEEEEP!
So make sure you're getting extra hours, don't be so hard on yourself, and take it one step at a time focusing on only the current task at hand.
I believe in you girl!
No word's to describe you and your posts.
I am here in steemit from 2 month's and i am just visting your profile and your blogs but you were not frequently active for some circumstances.
