This week I have been hammering away at HTML and some CSS. It has become abundantly clear that the most important thing for me to start working on is my typing skills. They are sloppy and inconsistent. I spent 5 hours practicing today.
It did wonders. I am so much better at typing already. I never really noticed how bad my typing was. Getting ready for an intensive Coding Bootcamp I realized that I needed to be able to keep up with the class, most of them being proficient computer people.
I found this amazing site that helps you learn to type without looking and faster called the Typing Club. They give you challenges and games that make practicing to type, a normally boring pass time fun.
I have also been doing Udacity classes. I have enjoyed them for direction. Ever subject they cover I dive in much deeper with youtube videos and classes.
I have put in long hours this week to learn as much as I could. Sometimes it feels like I will never learn enough for the Coding Bootcamp in 3 weeks. But then I stop and think about how I didn't know anything just a month ago and realize that this is a slow trek up a mountain, I got this.
Thank you for reading my blog!
Big Love

You are doing a coding boot camp!!!!? What! That is awesome!
I have always been interested in those boot camps. I bet it will be challenging BUT a lot of fun learning. I think immersing your self in something is the best way to learn.
I can't wait to hear how it going! :)
Hey! How are you! Miss you two world adventurers! I am going to attend the Coding Dojo in San Jose, I am really excited. It is going to start on March 19th. Check them out their program is amazing. I have been doing a lot o looking into the different boot camps and this one was the best or me by far.
Big Hugs to you both!
wow!!! good for you! :) I've got basic HTML... that's about you.
So cool to see you developing skills!
Thank you @karensuestudios! I have been so focused the whole world is blurring together, lol. I hope you are having the time of your life traveling! Thanks for the nudge, big hug :)
heheh Keep it up! Girls who code! YES!! :)
I just got back, hence catching up on everyone's lives. Things I've missed and such! Glad to see you doing well. :)
Glad you are home safe with an aventure under your belt :) I bet joey the rabbit missed you.
My problem is I forget things like this so quickly if I don't use it often. First I learned HTML, and then I had to learn javascript to replace that. Then I had to learn css to replace HTML. Then I had to learn XML and PHP to replace HTML. Then I had to learn how to install a content management system, and throw everything I learned out the window. Now I can't figure out how to update the content management system without the whole thing breaking, so I'm back to square one. Want to rebuild my website? lol
LOL! It is really complicated and hard to figure out what to learn and what to figure out by google later. I am really looking forward to being in a class setting, then all my complexed questions can be unleashed on the poor teacher :)
It is really wonderful to go into programming it's the future way.... Don't mind the ow typing with consistency u will be able to type fast.. I was also slow at first..
Weldone.. Keep the work going and don't be discouraged
