Morning thoughts because I screwed up posting at night

I guess I still don't really get steemit yet. I like the scaling "attention factor" of votes and it seems like there's a lot of good content around. I'm definitely more built up in time though, I'm not following all the great artists here yet. I'm bothered though by how many people seem to be using steemit as an engine to make money. There's nothing wrong with getting income from art or from blogging, and people for whom it's the main income should of course focus on it. But all the startup advice I've seen follows a tend of "sell out as hard and fast as possible". That's not why I'm here. I'll be happy to make content people like (which means I should post more lol).

Yep. And voting is definitely important, but I think any successful social network needs creators focused on creating not on earning.
