Why are people so afraid to ask? They are afraid of many things, such as looking needy, looking foolish, and looking stupid. But mostly they're afraid of experiencing rejection. They are afraid of hearing to word no.

The sad thing is that they're actually rejecting themselves in advance. They're saying no to themselves before anyone else even has a chance to. Women have told people that they found it unbelievable how scared men were when it came to asking women on a day. Again, people (men) would reject themselves before you give women a chance to. Take that risk, they might say yes!

How To Ask For What You Want

Assume that you can! Don't start with the assumption that you can't get it. If you are going to assume anything, assume that you can get an upgrade. Assume that you can get a tbale by the window. Assume that you can return it without a receipt. Assume that you can get a scholarship, a raise, tickets at such a late date. Don't ever assume against yourself.

Ask Repeatedly! One of the most important principles of success is persistence, not giving up. Children demonstrate this so well, they will ask over and over without any hesitation until they get what they want. In the world of sales, statistics show that 94% of all people quit before they reach 60% of potential buyers. That leaves 60% for the 6% that were persistent!
