The Government Want's our Child, Which is Why We Are Going On The Run.
We had a phone call today, the one we have been dreading for six years, this is the deadline by which you have to turn over you children to the state. We knew this day would come, which is why we have been slowly preparing for our exit strategy, our escape from the clutches of the Swedish government.
Ever since our first child was born we knew that would never send them to school, but we also knew that it's illegal to home educate your children in Sweden.
What is One to do in this situation? we adore Sweden and would so love to carry on living here when we are not out travelling, but sending our children to school goes against everything we believe in, it would break our hearts to have to send them off to school to be programmed, to have their individuality wiped clean away, their self-esteem knocked out of them and their dreams crushed by the government's agenda to make all kids competitive, anxious, consumer sheep.
Nope, it's not gonna happen, captain!!! Not on my watch!!!!
So that is why in September, we leave Sweden for good.
The thing is they want Marley to start school before we are planning to leave, so for a month and a half we will be fugitives in our own country, ducking the social services, and all the fines that the women on the phone today said will come for not sending our Marley to school.
Our Marley
We have heard stories of families being stopped at the airport trying to leave the country, so we do take this seriously and tread with caution.
The thing is, we have the upper hand, we don't live at our "address," we live in a separate location in our tinyhouse truck, "so good luck with that one you vultures."
Yes we are sad we have to leave for good, but when one door closes, a whole new world opens up, if you have been following us then you will know that in September we go to Portugal in our tinyhouse to meet up with 2 other families, and together we will purchase a little patch of green paradise on which we will start our eco-community.
And they all lived happily ever after.
Wow. What a story....And not an uncommon one where the 'state' believes they know better than us, as parents. What a beautiful-yet I can imagine, stressful, at times-Choice for your family.
Here in Australia we are facing similar issues....Alot to do with Vaccinations, living off grid, sending kids to school....Its like walking through a mine field......And the only reason it is a mine field is because we don't unite and stand up against it.
I have followed and am excited to see your happily ever after, my friend <3
Yeah, they really seem to be stepping up their control game of late, they know that more and more people are stepping away from the system and waking up to their tricks. I do believe we are starting to come together and it's only a matter of time before we all just walk away.
thanks for following, we hope to share many enjoyable experiences for some time to come here on steemit.
And another fullpower upvote. Love be with your family. You are inspiring many to follow in your footsteps.
I'm trying to get some exposure so please forgive the self-plug but I'm here to help human-kind :-) It all comes down to the same thing: we are owned. Let's create some awareness on how to get out.
"And the only reason it is a mine field is because we don't unite and stand up against it."
absolutely - unity is the key. and with unity comes a realisation, that even though the unity came with standing together against the foe, that true unity creates community immunity (safety in the strength of numbers) and standing against the foe becomes no longer necessary.
Upvoted and resteemed Too <3
Thank you very much, I appreciate it.
I've heard same stories here in the United States.
You are teaching your children about courage, love, life, and the importance for standing up for your beliefs. There is not a school on the planet that will teach them that. Blessings to you and yours this day and always.
True words, written with true meaning. We feel the love. Thank you so much
So sad... this is the "dark side" of the so-called social democrat "welfare state;" yes, you may get the benefits and securities of a place where many things are provided by the state... but the "rules" are that you WILL TAKE the benefits provided by the state according to THEIR terms and conditions... otherwise you are a traitor, an enemy of the state and even a criminal.
"Benevolent sameness for all!"
I'm Danish by birth, and my parents left Denmark when I was 13-ish for similar (although not as severe) reasons of not wanting to be subject to the restrictions.
Yes you are so right, things look all lovely on the the surface, but if you dare to be different you will be outcasts, and treated like an alien by the state and the people.
People here are very much the same, and believe everything the government say,
I have spent a lot of time in Denmark and i see a lot of individuality, people standing up against the system, I actually love Denmark for this reason, because it's got diversity but still very well kept.
Thank you for your feedback @denmarkguy
You get my full upvote of $3,-
I really really really really admire your courage and wisdom!
I have been in Portugal for 6 months living like that. You are going to love it.
Good luck escaping those psychopaths.
This post received a 1.5% upvote from @randowhale thanks to @thedanzel! For more information, click here!
Wow thank you, sir
Yes, we are really looking forward to Portugal.
Good luck with everything! Don't want to give you legal advice, but I have to. If they sue you, deny their jurisdiction over YOUR children. If you end up in court, ask Sweden to come in the court, no representative of Sweden, actually Sweden. Sweden can't come because it is not living creature. Non living creature can't have jurisdiction over living creature. Thank you, yes I know a lot about the law of the land, governed by consent, and legalese which works in the USA Canada, and England my homeland, but Sweden is a bit different, they don't seem to give a shit.
But it's fine it will never come to that, we are just going to leave and go somewhere we feel welcomed
Thanks for the interaction
Oh and the link
No problem. I wish I can help you. Best wishes from me! :)
Wow, cmoljoe. I am so amazed by the love we all share here on steem. I am grateful to you as well for helping out!
Watching thru eyes of 'another'...
BRAVO! BRAVO!
I really admire you for sticking to your principles,
and doing what is best for your children and family.
I am so proud of you and am honored to have 'met' you here on Steemit recently.
Thank you for your admiration Linda, we really feel blessed to be here, the love, support and encouragement we get from all of you is unbelievable. Especially you Linda the consistent support you give us has not gone unnoticed and we really admire what you are doing for your kids, and your dedication to warning people of the dangers of vaccinations.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts
The statist pigs want to own all children. Good for you, fight for your natural rights as parents.
If you can make it to Arizona, in the U.S., we are the most educational free state. Here is the states guide to homeschooling:
http://mcesa.info/homeschooling-2/
Good Luck.
How honorable of you. Most would sacrifice their children's freedom for convenience. Such is the heavy heart of the awakened. I wish you the best of luck and applaud your valor.
Thank you for your kind words, we believe we are doing the right thing for our kids, it just a shame the government thinks otherwise.
Yep, your are right, it's sad but true. the thing we are not told is that when we register the birth of our children, we are essentially handing over ownership of them to the government.
wow Arizona sounds like my kind of place.
thanks for the link
In the US, that's one good thing, although it's sort of a bad thing because of how many unloving parents there are; the only way for your child to be taken away is if they say they witnessed you do a bad crime to them or another, or if your spouse signs away your rights.
Otherwise you can give CPS the finger, although they will try to get you on any charge possible, when on the move it's pretty much impossible for them.
CPS is a nightmare though if you kid does end up in their "protection." It's waaaay worse than Sweden's which isn't particularly great either. Kids regularly are killed, often raped or beaten, and almost never are given a loving home. It's a real shame.
Wow it's one good thing that they can't take your kids as easy as they can in England were I'm from.
I actually grew up in care, mainly foster homes, I was a tough little kid and got left alone, but I have friends from care who have not been so lucky, it's sick what some of my friends have been through.
Yeah the UK is about as bad as the USA from what I've heard, although in the UK like you said it's easier to take someones kids away (but the cops seem more honest, so I suppose it depends, as in the US they often lie about pot smell and take their kids).
Actually a few years ago I knew a family who was good, but the husband occasionally smoked pot on the balcony out back after their kid went to sleep, not even any heavy stuff, before going to bed.
Once day a cop came, a few, with someone from CPS and demanded entry into the home, and unlucky for him, or really his daughter, his wife let them in.
They walked around, asked the kid questions, and then pretended to smell pot. I say pretended as he smoked on the porch, above the house, and stopped about 5 weeks prior, had nothing left in the house, and I personally went over only days later and couldn't smell a wif.
A couple months later their child was killed by the foster "mother" and was sentenced to life in prison.
Horrible thing though, those parents reported bruises on their child many times, and were never told that the foster mother had many violations on her record as well as had a recovering cocaine addict living in the home as her boyfriend/husband.
The mother, according to the investigation, must have banged the child's head against the floor or a hard service repeatably causing hemorrhaging from about goddamn everywhere, including her eyes.
Sorry about ranting, but that was something that affected me greatly. Never again will I not let anybody know that I know that has kids, no matter how bad of a parent they are, about how to get rid of those CPS devils and the bullet-accumulators with badges (cops).
What a horrible system in every single way.
Glad you were left alone, I never hear such a...neutral (relatively positive) experience. More people who actually like kids need to be foster parents, but sadly many of such people like myself are single, and while I'd gladly take in a child of any age, the state/authorities refuse, despite ample time, enough money, and safe residences.
Oh and goodluck to getting out of Sweden, although I don't hate the country, certain policies like the anti-homeschooling are terrible. I understand why they have it, but it's simply not good and at the very least they need a way to get exempt, essentially proving you're not a cult and you're through.
Really they need to just get rid of it. They'd be better off taking away parents who neglect their kids rather than people who are meerly living outside the system as much as possible.
But then again, governments don't care about children.
Arizona is not like Sweden, you might want to try Idaho or Montana. Arizona is so dry and hot, just so you know.
Thank you @jeff-kubitz
I am hearing great things from that side of the pond. It's encouraging :o)
I am glad you responded @markwhittam. My thoughts on reading your adventures are - shouldn't you leave before school starts? And, yes, I have stayed in Arizona in a big truck over the road many times and it really is so hot that it is unbelievable. One does get used to it eventually but it is so very hot.
Wishing you tons of luck on your journey! It's a shame that instead of empowering parents, the state feels the need to dictate what the parents must do or else. Hope you make it out of this ok! I'm sure you will as it seems you have been smartly planning for this for a while. Much love!
Thank you for your encouragement, yes it's a shame but we don't roll over for no one, and we have always wanted to find land a grow food, which is hard to do in the north of Sweden, so we see this as a gentle kick in the right direction.
Thanks for stopping by
Oh yeah, this is the perfect push to get you going on that! You should connect with @thenightflier as he grows a lot of stuff on his land in Italy I believe. Here's the post of his that got my attention. https://steemit.com/photography/@thenightflier/fruits-and-veggies-from-our-orchard
Thank you I will check him out when I finish work :)
Good on you guys. It is very clear that you love your children and I applaud you and support you in this endeavor. I've just found you but I'm now following and I look forward to coming along for the ride with you. All the very best!
Thank you for the support @steemtruth
It's so good to have so many well wishers here on steemit, because up until now, we have been meet with suspicion from nay sayers.
And sometimes even doubted our decisions.
We love it here and are willing to share our whole journey with you lovely steemians
So much respect for making an extremely hard, but definitely right decision. We should all be able to raise our own children, instead of sending them off to be trained by strangers 40 hours a week, 18 years of their life.
Double upvote (article and one of your comments) to support your travels and stay in Portugal. I would love to visit you there.
Also followed and resteemed.
