How to make: MATCHA Latte (Tutorial) | 10 Easy Steps
Good Morning Steemians!
Usually I am a coffee drinker, the first thing in the morning that I consume is.. of course... coffee! and to be honest I never would have thought that I would voluntarily give up that habit and replace my favorite morning drink with a healthier option, green tea. During my stay in Tokyo however I for the first time in years, went several days straight without coffee. If you are a coffee addict, please continue reading. If you aren’t, still continue reading because Matcha has some pretty awesome benefits and if you’ve never tried it before, well you should...
However since my trip to Tokyo, Japan.. the country of MATCHA this has changed.
Let me share my latest obsession with you!
And I know that this has recently become a “hipster drink” on social media featured on popular blogs and you might be thinking “what is it about this green tea called MATCHA”
Well there are many benefits and I am only going to list a view but in general when drinking Matcha it awakens me in a completely different way than coffee, I am more calm but am focused at the same time and I absolutely love the taste! I think when you try it the first time you might not love it, neither did I, because it tastes a little bitter on its own, but it is something that gets better every time you try it and in form of a Latte it's the best!
So let me show you how I make the most delicious Matcha Latte at home.
But before we get into the recipe, I want to start by giving you 10 REASONS why you should give Matcha a try and you never know.. it might become your new coffee!
10 BENEFITS OF MATCHA

Matcha green tea contains up to 137 times more antioxidants compared to a regular green tea, and up to 3 times more antioxidants compared to high-quality teas
2.) Improves Concentration
3.) Relaxes Body & Mind
4.) Enhances Memory
5.) Increases Energy
6.) Boosts Metabolism
7.) Detoxifies Body
8.) Strengthens Immune System
9.) Fights Caner
10.) Tastes Delicious

How to make MATCHA LATTE | Traditional
The above recipe that I use at home of course isn't the real "traditional matcha" tutorial. In Japan you would for example use a traditional matcha whisk. But like I said this a quick and fun tutorial for every day usage that you can easily do at home in the morning and try instead of coffee. There are lots of other tutorials and techniques that you can try out. Here is an example:
If you are interested in the real process of making MATCHA, please check out the video below, as it gives you an insight into Japanese culture, the history of matcha and the ceremony. I think that tea ceremonies and in general the time and effort put into making tea reflects the respectful, humble and wise handling in a general sense. It is truly unique and beautiful at the same time and I can't wait to participate in a ceremony myself, next time I'm in Japan!
I hope you enjoyed this tutorial, try it at home and let me know how you like it!
Much love,
