Adding some flair to your social media profile with Blender! Exploring the possibilities of 3d modeling
Social Media is HARD but you can do it!
Building a social media profile from scratch is no simple endeavour, especially when you have avoided social media for most of your adult life. Steemit has warming me up to the whole world that social media has to offer and I am building a YouTube channel to supplement my steemit posts. I have been on a hiatus from steemit, and have not been posting any quality material for a little while.
I have watched quite a few successful social media gurus and have been slowly piecing together the necessary parts to set my social media apart from others. What seems to be most successful are the well produced videos with intro and exit animations and some text scrolling here and there into the frames. As I said, I am a greenhorn so I began searching for ways to set up a killer video.
The only 2 programs you need to succeed!
I scoured the internet looking for free ways to make a great video intro to spice up my social media. I found two programs that are going to be super valuable when making a great video are: Blender, which is an open source 3d modeler (sounds intimidating, and it is), and OBS studio for video editing.
Blender can be used to create a stunning custom intro if you have the time to plow through hours of tutorials and put some work in. I have created a short Blender intro to use in some of my YouTube posts and I have a long way to go. There are supposed to be sparks in the background, but they aren't showing up very brightly. This is the culmination of a couple solid days of work and hours of video tutorials. Let me know what you think!
If you do not have time to make your own intro like I did, there are loads of free blender templates that you can just plug some text into with a little bit of effort. Just open up YouTube and type in Blender Templates. You will have to download blender and render the templates yourself which also takes some time. If you have more money than time, you can just hop on Fiverr.com and pay someone to crank one out for you!
