Reminds me if this little fella from last summer.

Very close to the situation you described too. I was coming back from work and found it exhausted under a tree.
Thought it was raining and VERY windy.
Took him home to see what we could do for him. Turned out he just needed to rest, after a little while and some breadcrumbs he began trying to set off in our living room, so I helped him outside and he was off.
