Most of us don't like to be alone for a long time. In fact, we are not created to live in isolation.

From the beginning, God said. "It is not good that man should be alone" (Gn 2.18). But sometimes there are situations in life that isolate us. Or maybe we just feel lonely, even though we live with our spouse or family. But, whatever your situation, if you have Christ in your heart, you are never alone.

Knowing that his followers might feel abandoned after his crucifixion and ascension, Jesus promised to send them a Helper who would never leave them: the Spirit of truth. The same Spirit that came to them on the day of Pentecost still remains within every believer. He has been sent to walk with us as our comforter, trainer, and guide.

The Holy Spirit, unlike human beings, is perfectly competent to satisfy all our needs. Since he knows us intimately, he can comfort us in pain and loss, when no one else can.

Every time we find ourselves in a dilemma, He knows exactly what to do. Since the future is uncovered before your eyes, you are aware of all the details that concern us. And it promises to guide us every step of the way, calming our fears and overcoming our shortcomings.

Because we have been created by God, only through His Spirit are we complete. He is the definitive solution to man's loneliness: he is always available and will never leave or forsake us. When others let us down, the Comforter is there to remind us that we are not alone.

Biblical promises.
