RE: Are me and steemit relevant to each other? Early concerns....

in #blog7 years ago (edited)

Hi @beestrong!
I'm 100% with you and with @psionic-tremors comment.
It is almost impossible to find people of the same interest on steemit and it's a shame that your valuable words will drown in the massive upload of other posts.
Nobody will recognize them - no matter how valuable and interesting they might be.
So what to do to find the right followers with the same interests?
As @psionic-tremors said: look for other posts with same interests. Comment as hell and build up followers that find your posts valuable.
And what might be even more important: join Discord groups.
If you look around you will find groups/people with the same interests and they will gather on a Discord channel. They are chatting and discussing things there and you can be sure they have the same interests.
Hope this helps a bit :)
If you have further questions feel free to contact me.
I resteemed your post because I think it's interesting for others to read and think about.

@Pundito. Thanks for the advice. As i said to @psionic-tremors i am definately setting a daily time limit and a few small goals for that time. Like i said in my #introduceself ive managed to create what i feel is freedom and after over 10 hours chained to laptop and phone writing one big posting didnt feel very liberating. I find that when folks say oh go on steemit its like facebook but you get paid (maybe in the long term) its a slightly rude awakening when you actually get here. Lol 😊 again not giving up..not my sytle...deep breathe and keep seeking people who will add to my life and who hopefully i can add too mutually. Thanks resteem...gonna have to look that up and understand what that is. Oh and thanks for discord connection (????) Oh my days what to do on steemit list is already growing...😊

Fun fact, I have found you because pundito resteemed your post. We also just met today on a discord channel.

Oh fab...ill have a look at discord tomorrow....big thanks to @pundito...

You are welcome @beestrong.
Here a link that will bring you to a community that wants to help new users (also called Minnows). https://discord.gg/q7zSAQS
They are a part of the MSP (Minnow Support Project) and also have a radio channel on that server. It is called Minnow Support Radio or MSP-Waves Radio. You can listen to them via the link on their website or directly on the Discord server.
Actually, I had some problems in the beginning to understand and navigate in Discord (no matter if you use it on the website or download the app) but after looking around a bit I found more and more interesting channels.
There are channels for everything and interests.
The one I've send you the link for is in my eyes a good beginning. That's where I also started.
Just to mention: Discord initially has no direct connection technically to steemit but it's a perfect tool to bring people together with the same interests on steemit. You meet people on Discord and follow each other on steemit if the chemistry is right.
Happy steeming!
P.S.: if you need help on Discord just shout ;) I'll try to help.

Thank you
Utter overwhelm....lol..
