Elite Force 1911 TAC

Does it deserve its glory?

For most kids in airsoft, the Elite Force 1911 TAC is the the most common upgrade from the $12 spring pistol from Walmart. I think I understand why too. The pistol looks good, feels good, and isn't too expensive for what it is. Is it really the best in that price range thought? I would argue not.

Trigger

The trigger is frankly garbage in my opinion. I would call it "stagey". There is little takeup before a wall, and then the wall breaks. You think that's the real wall, but that isn't the case. Keep pulling and you will hit the real wall. I have tried other 1911 TACs out there and have cleaned up my own, but it still happens.

Threads

As per the law, the muzzle end needs an orange tip. In this case, the permanently attached threads are painted. Short of repainting it, you cannot replace or cover the orange tip (perfectly legal here, but check your laws). The gun also doesn't ship with a thread protector. One bad fall and the threads will be damaged to the point where nothing could be affixed to the end. If the airsoft pistol shipped with an orange thread protector, and the threads were black, it would be much better.

Finish

The painted finish really isn't durable at all. After my first game the barrel paint wore off near the ejection port. Blue, parkerize, or anodize it please for the love of god.

Magazines

The loading process for the magazines really sucks. Overlooking the gas seal problems I have had, the follower doesn't lock like most other airsoft pistol mags do. This is a really uncomfortable process.

I love the way you put this! Very honest instead of people just saying "its so good nothing wrong " For anyone wanting a mock suppresser it is actually a .14mm barrel
