Hello STEEMIT community!

Today, we’re going to learn about Uganda’s population!

Uganda’s total population is estimated to be around 41.5 million, placing Uganda as the 32nd most populous country in the world. Its population is known to be the youngest in the world. According to statistics from 2015, 48.1% of the population is under the age of 15, and 49.4% is between 15 and 65. Only 2.5% of the population is over the age of 65.

South Korea, on the other hand, has a population of approximately 51.25 million and ranks as the 27th most populous country in the world. The most significant difference is shown in the age distribution of each country’s population. In South Korea, 13.2% of the population is under the age of 15, 72.7% is between the ages of 15 and 65, and 14.1% is over the age of 65. Uganda’s average age of the total population is lower than that of South Korea.

Next time, we will take a look at the advantages and disadvantages of having a young population.

What do you think about these differences?
