I'm trying something a different for now, gonna write a little diary where I just talk about what's going on in my day to day!

A Hectic Saturday

Today started out pretty good. My boyfriend came over around 9am to hang out and enjoy a lunch I was making for us and my roommate. I absolutely love corned beef hash patties, and have gotten my own recipe down! I will make a note to post it here sometime coming up.

I had just finished my finals for Hardware Fundamentals which is an A+ certification class, dealing with installing networks and computer systems at a company/ business level. I did get a 96% on my final, but am awaiting the rest of my assignments for finals week to be graded.

The reason I say today is hectic, is that in about half an hour, we leave here to attend a tutoring session I set up with a friend. My boyfriend wants to do well in his "Real Analysis" class, but his professor doesn't explain the key steps nor fundamentals behind formulas. I have one of my good friends who loves numbers coming out today for a late lunch and to help him get to where he needs to be for his exams—then I have work.

I was messaged by our daytime cashier and a manager that our restaurant was overbooked for 6pm. By overbooked, I mean ALL of the reservations are at 6, I am going to talk with everyone today about starting a reservation policy, where we do 15 min blocks (6:00, 6:15, 6:30) to not end up in this situation. Kitchen needs to be able to keep up with all orders, and the servers need to be able to breathe. I do have a decent amount of experience, so I wasn't too happy about being asked to come in early by multiple staff for an issue I didn't cause.

Work and Wedding Sunday

After tonight's shift, it's straight off to bed. I was offered and had taken a job I worked on Friday night, being a server for a catering company. This $15/hr +tips pay definitely beats my current job, so I work for them on my days off now. I have a brunch service tomorrow, followed by my childhood friend's wedding only an hour after I get out.

I want to think I'm doing a decent job with my time, and my schedule, but there are still many things left to tweak. Hopefully, I can make it through the weekend and get a great amount of sleep before my new class on Monday!~
