Songsmiths' First Single Drops This Friday!

I’m thrilled to announce that after 10 months of auditions, recording sessions and blog posts, I will be releasing the first Songsmiths single this Friday, May 18. The song is Spaceman’s Vertigo by Matt Levings as performed by his band Club of Suns. It’s an indie, alternative rock song which isn’t what Matt originally had mind, but he went with it and we all love the result.
It’s truly been a pleasure working with Club of Suns. They’re great guys, they fully embraced the opportunity and worked hard, making my job that much easier. That’s probably how I have ended up with 2 more COS songs in the pipeline! But I don’t want to get ahead of myself. There are songs by Ed Privat, K-Jo and Chris James to release first. Folks, there are some truly great songs queued up for your listening pleasure, so stay tuned.
Now that we’re releasing our first single, perhaps it’s time to formally welcome you to Songsmiths. Welcome! I look forward to introducing you to some seriously talented South Africans and their music.
