THE PROPHETIC PRAYER 1
29 O EARTH, EARTH, EARTH! LISTEN TO THIS MESSAGE FROM THE LORD!
30 This is what the Lord says: ‘LET THE RECORD SHOW THAT THIS MAN JEHOIACHIN WAS CHILDLESS. He is a failure, for none of his children will succeed him on the throne of David to rule over Judah.’"
Jeremiah 22:29–30 (NLT)
• Prophetic prayers.
- Whatever exist in the world can hear, either animate or inanimate objects.
- By the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, you can be led to speak to things, they have ears to hear, and they will hear you.
- In the above Bible passage, the earth was being addressed, spoken to, that It should take a record that Jehoiachin would remain, or be made childless (Jeremiah 22:29,30).
- You can give instructions to things, whether living or nonliving things.
- When you speak, As a believer in Christ Jesus, the Angels would carry out your words, they are already waiting to do that—they are ministering spirits meant to minister for us, the believers:
"ARE NOT ALL THE ANGELS MINISTERING SPIRITS SENT OUT [by God] TO SERVE (accompany, protect) THOSE WHO WILL INHERIT SALVATION? [Of course they are!]" (Hebrews 1:14 Amps). - In the prophetic prayers, you speak by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, to whatever you want to address and give instructions as you are led to do.
- Some of the Examples of such prayers or declarations found in the Bible are:
a. Joshua spoke to the Sun and the Moon to stand still until the Battle they were fighting is won (Joshua 10:12).
b. David also spoke, made a declaration about the mountains, Mountains of Gilboa, where Saul and Jonathan were slain. Those who had been to that part of the world say, till now grasses are not found on those mountains because they lack dew and rain upon them—mountains of Gilboa (2 Samuel 1:21).
c. Another instance: Joshua spoke against or cursed the city of Jericho and whoever would make any attempt to rebuild it (Joshua 6:26); this was fulfilled hundreds of years later when a man attempted to do it (1 Kings 16:34).
d. Jesus also cursed or spoke against a fig tree that no one would eat fruits on it again. He was expecting to get fruits on the tree, but it had none (Matthew 21:18-20; Mark 11:12-14,21).
• Authority is given to you, to command things to happen, If you are a true Believer in Christ Jesus, who lives right—in holiness (Luke 10:19).
- There is power in spoken words. However, such feat being discussed cannot happen without the walking in the light of the Word of God, living by its principles, which is also known as Faith:
20 THE NEXT MORNING AS THEY PASSED BY THE FIG TREE HE [Jesus] HAD CURSED, THE DISCIPLES NOTICED IT HAD WITHERED FROM THE ROOTS UP. 21 PETER remembered what Jesus had said to the tree on the previous day and exclaimed, “LOOK, RABBI! THE FIG TREE YOU CURSED HAS WITHERED AND DIED!” 22 THEN Jesus said to the disciples, “HAVE FAITH IN GOD. 23 I tell you the truth, YOU CAN SAY TO THIS MOUNTAIN, ‘MAY YOU BE LIFTED UP AND THROWN INTO THE SEA,’ AND IT WILL HAPPEN. BUT YOU MUST REALLY BELIEVE IT WILL HAPPEN AND HAVE NO DOUBT IN YOUR HEART. 24 I tell you, YOU CAN PRAY FOR ANYTHING, And IF YOU BELIEVE THAT YOU'VE RECEIVED IT, IT WILL BE YOURS" (Mark 11:20-24 NLT).
READ: John 15:7
• The key.
- Your words would be weighty and command respect If you are under the authority of Jesus Christ.
- To be under the Jesus' authority is to be born-again and be walking in Obedience to His Word: "IF YOU REMAIN IN ME [Jesus] AND MY WORDS REMAIN IN YOU [that is, if we are vitally united and My message lives in your heart], ASK WHATEVER YOU WISH AND IT WILL BE DONE FOR YOU" (John 15:7 Amps).
"STAY JOINED TO ME [Jesus] AND LET MY TEACHINGS BECOME PART OF YOU. THEN YOU CAN PRAY FOR WHATEVER YOU WANT, AND YOUR PRAYER WILL BE ANSWERED."
John 15:7 (Contemporary English Version)
- There are many Believers going about with empty words, even ministers; because they are not walking in the light of His Word—His teachings had not become part of their lives.
- There is power, Authority, in the words of whoever, a believer, obeys His commands.
• God wants you to rule in the world. He wants your words to be filled with power and not empty words (Genesis 1:28).
- The journey starts with your relationship and fellowshipping with God. If you are not living right, you are living in Sin, your words would amount to nothing, they would be empty words, in the realm of the spirit.
- God wants you to be holy, As He is holy (1 Peter 1:15,16). Without Holiness no one would see God (Hebrews 12:14).
- The devil and his agents know those who are genuinely of God:
15 BUT THE EVIL SPIRIT RETORTED, “I KNOW AND RECOGNIZE AND ACKNOWLEDGE JESUS, AND I KNOW ABOUT PAUL, BUT AS FOR YOU, WHO ARE YOU?” 16 Then the man, in whom was the evil spirit, LEAPED ON THEM AND SUBDUED ALL OF THEM AND OVERPOWERED THEM, SO THAT THEY RAN OUT OF THAT HOUSE [in terror, stripped] NAKED AND WOUNDED" (Acts 19:15,16 Amps).
THUS, whoever names the name of Christ Jesus should depart from iniquities (2 Timothy 2:19). - If you live in Sin and attempted to speak, or command, or take Authority over any familiar spirit, demonic spirit, you might get more than what you bargained for (Acts 19:13-16).
- Note: Authority is given to every believer to exercise; but whoever, any believer, who wants to walk in the fullness of the Authority would have to live according to the Word of the Master—Jesus Christ:
"IF YOU REMAIN IN ME AND MY WORDS REMAIN IN YOU [that is, if we are vitally united and My message lives in your heart], ASK WHATEVER YOU WISH AND IT WILL BE DONE FOR YOU" (John 15:7 Amps).
"I HAVE WRITTEN TO YOU, young men,
Because you are strong, AND THE WORD OF GOD ABIDES IN YOU, AND YOU HAVE OVERCOME THE WICKED ONE."
1 John 2:14b (NKJV).
• You will not fail in Jesus' name.
- Should there be any ailment in your body, such is rebuked and completely uprooted in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.
- As from now onwards, you live in good health in Jesus' name.
Peace!

STEPS TO SALVATION
• Take notice of this:
IF you are yet to take the step of salvation, that is, yet to be born-again, do it now, tomorrow might be too late (2 Corinthians 6:1,2; Hebrews 3:7,8,15).
a. Acknowledge that you are a sinner and confess your Sins (1 John 1:9); And ask Jesus Christ to come into your life (Revelation 3:20).
b. Confess that you believe in your heart that Jesus Christ is Lord, and that you confess it with your mouth, Thus, you accept Him As your Lord and Saviour (Romans 10:9,10).
c. Ask that He will write your name in the Book of Life (Philippians 4:3; Revelation 3:8).
- If you took the steps As highlighted above, It means you are saved—born-again. Join a Word based church in your area and Town or city, and be part of whatever they are doing there. Peace!
